McConnell Will Let Obama Run Over Him

McConnell will let Obama run roughshod over him if we allow him to. Just listening to part of what he had to say, and then listening to what Obama said before I got too sick to handle any more of his usual BS is proof to me that we must not give McConnell any free rein to make any deals with Obama. Has people forgotten that it was McConnell that helped sell Ted Cruz out after he had spent so many hours fighting the funding of Obamacare? And now he stated in his speech and questioning after that he was planning to work with the Democrats whereas the Democrats did everything possible to thwart everything Republicans tried to do to cut unemployment. Out of over 350 bills submitted to the Senate, there was not one that was even voted on by the Senate. They were all shelved without being voted on. So now RINO McConnell is saying he will "work" with Democrats? After listening to part of Obama's BS I felt that he was merely telling McConnell what he expected him to do and he would accept nothing else. So I believe we must keep a close watch on McConnell's actions in the future to thwart any more deals with the crooked Democrats. We have made great progress in taking back the Senate and boosting the House so greatly to allow "Old Tortoise Neck" to sell us out.

Does anyone else feel this way about what was said between Obama and McConnell?

Exactly what I thought when I heard it.You are right on target about McConnell,he needs to hear from us consistently to know we are not in power to advance the corrupt progressive liberal agenda.

Unfortunately, not everyone was up for re-election this time around, so we still have RINO's in there. We need to start working on the 2016 elections to make sure we get rind of more RINO's. Maybe one of these days we can get rid of ALL of them. The last thing we need is a RINO screwing everything up and voting with the Democrats.

There are several people that need to go desperately, but we will never get rid of them unless we re-draw the district lines and quit this gerrymandering so they are guaranteed a seat. Waters is one of them, but not the only one. The only reason she keeps getting elected is because she is in an all black district, or mostly black. That's the only way that sorry witch keeps getting elected.

You bet, Republicans were elected to stop Obama's radical, fundamental transformation of this country, not work with Obama and the Democrats. We all know that McConnell has more respect for Democrats than the Tea Party

I feel exactly as you do. McConnell doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to defending the conservative constituents. Didn't I hear he had some negative comments about the TEA Party? Why does the public want him in Congress anyway?

Carolyn

Putting I bluntly . . . It is time to get rid of Mitch. He is going to throw away any advantage we gained in the 2014 mid-term election.

The Democrats and Obama will never change their stance. It is their way or the highway.

Start each conversation with a standard "NO" and work from that point. Compromise is not in their playbook.

It does look bad with Mitch but maybe he has learned something over the last few years,it may be prudent to give him a little time before we condemn him.He knows D.C.and the Senate better than most people in Wash.and could be a real asset if he has his priorities in order.

I actually agree with you, but the most important person is the majority whip in the Senate. He is the guy or gal that counts the votes to get things done. We are going to end up with 54 or 55 seats which is barely a majority, we need to have the majority whip to be able to gather 12 or 13 democrats to override all the vetos we are going to get from Obama. We can do this by impressing that all Democrats that vote against the Over rides will be exposed and replaced just like the ones this past election and that it will be well known by the people if they vote with Obama on declining bills that are good for the people or bad for the people. It will take not only Mitch being strong but the Whip being even stronger, maybe Ted Cruz or Rand Paul would be a good whip. Someone that the wimpy Democrats knows means business and will lose their jobs just like the wimps before this election. Finally, at least there is some hope.

I absolutely feel that way. It's a shame.
What a sorry leader. He will negate all we fought so hard to get control of the Congress. Maybe Ted Cruz can find something that we can use to get rid of him.
I'm afraid he is in bed with the dems.

I said before the election that unless there is a change in GOP leadership on Congress nothing much will really change.
