Those rules only matter to people who believe in that particular religion and are willing to behave according to that doctrine. Most Christians are so in name only. I've seen supposed Christians on OPP state with conviction that the only requirement to be a Christian is to believe that Jesus was God. They shout, "Praise the Lord, I believe", and then lead their dog over to shit on their neighbors lawns.
True Christianity is literally following the teachings of Jesus, doing what he said to do, all the way. What I get back when I say that is whining that "That's too HARD, no one can DO that, we aren't perfect like Jesus was." Whine, whine, cavil, deny.
