First Amendment to the United States Constitution

fr.wikipedia.org
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights
It don't spell it out in the first amendment , just prohibits making a law infringing on religion.

Grugore, No signs foretelling the end of time. Read Matthew 24:36; But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angles of heaven, but my Father only. You can read the whole thing but vs.36 tells it all NO ONE CAN KNOW WHEN..

It says no one will know the day or the hour. But the signs are there that tell us it should be soon. Remember what it says about the generation that witnesses the restoration of Israel?

But Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, also said:

Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.

But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

We need another Reagan in the White House. He wasn't perfect, but considering what we've had to put up with lately, they'd be a breath of fresh air.

It's an attack on religion, plain and simple. And it's only going to get worse. We're living in the last days, people. Can there be any doubt?

If you don't know what the wording of the constitution means you must be low on grey matter.

I know exactly what the Constitution means. I've read what our founding fathers have to say about it too. Where do you think I misunderstood it? Please enlighten us poor, ignorant members of the masses.

That's plenty clear enough. No state church bullshit. You want to know why people are constantly saying , separation of church and state ? One , its obvious from the part you cited , Two , the supreme court has ruled that way , using the words specifically ,separation of church and state. Practice your religion , whatever it may be on your own dime and your own time. No one is going to stop you.

No one is trying to interfere with Christian religion?

Obama's Army Says Christians are Worst Terrorists

Whistleblowers have publicized the U.S. Army Reserve Equal Opportunity training brief titled “Extremism and Extremist Organizations,” a Gay Agenda propaganda document packed with anti-Christian rhetoric from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) -- an organization that classifies every Bible-believing Christian as a dangerous bigot, and much of Scripture as "hate speech."

In contrast, the Obama Administration has refused to classify as a terrorist Maj. Nidal Hasan, who yelled “Allahu Akbar” before shooting dozens of soldiers at Ft. Hood in November 2009, and who is awaiting trial as a common murderer.

-- From "Training material listing Catholics as ‘extremists’ angers archdiocese" by Karen Jowers, Staff Writer, Army Times 4/5/13

Catholic military archdiocese officials are calling on defense officials to review training materials after learning that a briefing from an Army Reserve unit cited Catholicism as an example of “religious extremism” — on a list with al-Qaida, the Ku Klux Klan, and the white supremacist Christian Identity.

IRS Targeted Billy Graham Ministry and Other Christian Groups

As the White House announced May 15 that acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller would resign in the wake of revelations that the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, news has surfaced that the tax-exempt status of prominent Christian organizations had also been targeted.

Even as the president was assuring the American people, more revelations were coming out about the extent of the targeting of organizations that could be broadly categorized as opposing the Obama agenda. Among the organizations the IRS investigated and audited were the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and the 180-year-old Baptist newspaper the Biblical Recorder, published by the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. The IRS reportedly also targeted the humanitarian relief group Samaritan's Purse. Both it and the BGEA are run by Franklin Graham, son of famed evangelical preacher Billy Graham.

I've read and studied it numerous times.

Try Luke 21:5-38 also.

Did they kick in the door of your church ? I think the government has been pretty lax on this subject. It says God on our money and God is usually cited in the pledge of allegiance. The presidents are allowed to say stuff about God and pray in public. What about " God bless the united States of America ". Obama says that all the time.

But for all you atheists he doesn't mean it. That's obvious.
