Impeachment requires charges brought by the House, no problem, then a trial by the senate with 2/3rds or 3/4ths I don't remember. We don't have the votes. The best thing that we can do is to not fund anything he wants to do like immigration change. He absolutely does not have the right to grant amnesty to the illegals only Congress can do that, clearly written in the Constitution but by the time it gets to the SCOTUS it will be too late, so, just don't fund the grant and he is SOL.

But did you not hear him say that he would use his magic pen if Republicans fought him on amnesty?

Obama does not care about the Democrat Party! He will torch it to get his agenda through. That is one mistake that the The Republicans keep making is that they think this guy has some scruples and cares about his party...but, he doesn't. It's all about him, and his legacy. We have never had such an egotistical narcissist (a sociopath) as president before...and, the Republicans had better wake up to that.

JMHO, you are exactly right. The fears expressed by Carolyn are the fears of everyone who has been paying attention to the way this whole thing is going down. Of course we would rather see someone like Ted Cruz in there at the top job than McConnell but unfortunately we don't have him. The most effective thing we can do is to write lots of letters, support Cruz, let McConnell know how we feel, and pray a lot. Praying is the most important part. God promises that if we do He will heal our Country. I'll be doing all of the above.

Something occurred to me this morning while I was driving into work. We the conservatives just handed Obama and his libs a butt kicking...now what do you think they will do about it???

I think they have all the more reason to leave the border open and grant amnesty to illegals, this election just showed them that they need more voters. We must stay vigilant!!

Carolyn, I share your thoughts but the Senate would never vote to convict even if the House impeached.

Trey is EXACTLY WHAT THE NATION NEEDS AT THIS TIME. Hence the Republican leadership will NOT let him shine. Too jealous.

Yes! For the citizens of this nation to realize the fruits of this mandate, they must fight against McConnell's leadership in the Senate. I would have like to have seen him defeated by the Democrat, knowing we had a majority in the Senate without him. He has been a disgrace to those citizens that consider themselves Tea Party and especially Ted Cruz. Huck.

We had four years of no deals and that didn't work that well.
Yes the democrats screwed the American public, you want another four years worth of screwing or would you rather see them work together.

Obama can do very little without funds and working bill though Congress will be a very slow process if everything is vetoed. Far better give and take than to have most bills die and nothing gets done.

McConnell will let Obama run roughshod over him if we allow him to. Just listening to part of what he had to say, and then listening to what Obama said before I got too sick to handle any more of his usual BS is proof to me that we must not give McConnell any free rein to make any deals with Obama. Has people forgotten that it was McConnell that helped sell Ted Cruz out after he had spent so many hours fighting the funding of Obamacare? And now he stated in his speech and questioning after that he was planning to work with the Democrats whereas the Democrats did everything possible to thwart everything Republicans tried to do to cut unemployment. Out of over 350 bills submitted to the Senate, there was not one that was even voted on by the Senate. They were all shelved without being voted on. So now RINO McConnell is saying he will "work" with Democrats? After listening to part of Obama's BS I felt that he was merely telling McConnell what he expected him to do and he would accept nothing else. So I believe we must keep a close watch on McConnell's actions in the future to thwart any more deals with the crooked Democrats. We have made great progress in taking back the Senate and boosting the House so greatly to allow "Old Tortoise Neck" to sell us out.

Does anyone else feel this way about what was said between Obama and McConnell?

He can use his pen, his typewriter or his penis, doesn't matter if he doesn't have the money to print up the documents, which Congress controls 100%

We have already shown the Democrats that we are fed up with their BS, and there will be many career Democrats that will want to distance themselves further from Obama's BS. After his showing the world that he is on a quest to ruin the United States, it would be pure folly for Democrats to vote against impeachment. I believe as soon after January 6th. that it can be done is when we should file impeachment charges against this un-American crook. I believe those that would vote against impeachment would commit political suicide in the 2016 elections. And I am sure they know this after the drubbing they took Tuesday. So why wait and give him two more years to finish us off because I can guarantee he is going to hurt this country more in these last 2 years than he has in the past 6 years.

Mitch did a great job winning back Senate. I don't think he will cave in to Obama.

Let him veto. Then he will be the president of "NO".

That is why the US senate must replace McConnel. It will be a great mistake if the senate choose him again. His past performance has been non-productive, mediocre, and does not have the courage to being bold, aggressive but assertive defending the issues that are brought to his desk.

We need a fighter at the senate, not someone who will just give in to president Obama. He was one of the problems of the senate, but we must not repeat his failures. The people have great expectations, and if the Senate could choose a more effective leader, who puts the interest of our country first, brilliant with excellent communication skills. That majority leader would be able to provide solutions and results for the expectations of the people at present is so great. The success of his performance would provide a great asset for the 2016 GOP presidential nominee.
