Harvard Law, blame America. Guess they might not be liberals. I should be ashamed of responding to you. Are you a liberal?

No I'm not a liberal, nor am I a conservative. I go for common sense when I can see it ( it's very hard to find these days ). I do know better than to dismiss someone's beliefs, at least, until I know why they believe as they do. Oh, and I don't read peoples minds either. When I'm writing, I can and do, but then, my characters minds are actually my mind, so I'm allowed.

It is recorded history, JFlorio, not accusation or insult. Yes, we have liberated more people but we presently have more people incarcerated than any communist regime. Yes, we have spilled more blood for others than any other country but we allowed other countries to spill the blood of their own people for our best interest. Ignoring our mistakes or trying to revise the past does not serve truth or the freedoms we have.

Let me ask you this, JFlorio: was the Declaration of Independence really meant for all humans?

Floor

Brian's last fight ended in a draw. Even though his purse was bigger the opponent fought a tough battle.

Just had to vent. Was watching Fox (I know Nestor I'm uninformed GOPTP and all your other drivel) and they were asking these idiot students from Harvard who is more dangerous to world peace ISIS or America. All four asked said America. I'm furious because that is what these young liberals believe. I believe they would never fight for this country. A patriot loves his country and will lay down his life if need be.

Florio,

How long do you think it took your FOX entertainment crew to find 4 people to say the thing fox wanted to air?
I read you are more than ready for other peoples kids to die for you outrage.. I an sure you are very bored in retirement, it seems we have to work to make this time of our lives interesting..Maybe you should find a hobby. I like wood working, gardening, fishing, walking in the woods, (no longer a good shot), raised game birds, photography, reading and mostly bugging my wife, who has put up with me all these years...

By the way, for R and R, I think Brian dallying far more fun than yet another fight. I had a bunch and some were quite painfull, and I maintain, I never had an orgasm that I did not like..

If you are a person of age, as many of are, you may wish to reexamine your response to jabs from the spin doctors..

Thanks Permafrost. I am 63. I still don't get why some people prefer pain over pleasure. Then again, I wasn't raised by repressed bible thumping, satan-fearing, fundamentalist goobers.

This a first for me and your post, I believe you nailed the U.S. past, we have dominated/pushed others to our brand of "FREEDOM", none wanted it, except maybe, just maybe Japan after the war, but we did force them too, but they embraced our ideas (MacArthur's)... So, SURPRISE this once I agree with you, I know I'm flabbergasted too...

Lets not make this a habit, my heart can't stand the strain... Don D. ;-)

So I take it Florio, that you have purchased your ticket to Bagdad to fight ISIS??? I am always touched to see when conservatives eschew hypocrisy and volunteer themselves for combat instead of volunteering their neighbor's children.

No. I have never been in the service. I also am no chickenhawk. I have never been one to cheer and urge others to be maimed and killed in futile foreign adventures that only benefit the 1%. No one has recently invaded either the U.S. mainland nor any of its territories.

American soldiers belong on American soil, safe, and out of harm's way. I can more easily take that position because I own no "defense" contractor stocks and because I own no mortuary and wheel-chair manufacturer stocks either.

I detest the chickenhawks who never served and are all too quick to volunteer the blood and limbs of their neighbor's children.......like Limbaugh, Levin, Savage, O'Reilly, Gingrich, and of course---Dick(less) Cheney.

I am also none too thrilled about the minority of war veterans, who also are more than willing to send their neighbors children off to the middle eastern slaughterhouse.

Speaking as a woman I am very content with how my life has played out (with the exception of my health ). Of course then I didn't sit around waiting for my government to take care of me!!!!!!!

After reading this invective it appears obvious all of you have all much time on your hands. If you can't carry on an intelligent discussion why not increase your community volunteer time--food pantry, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers, etc. And don't bring up this crap "you don't have to read it." All of you, show more intelligence. Thanks.

I know by your answe you are pretty young---i was brought up believing that you owed it to your country to serve----Clinton is part of that age group but he did more than protest the draft he LED draft protest from England and other draft dodgers ran off to Canada and a dove of a president like Jimmy Carter forgave them nd welcomed them home, meanwhile over 50,000 boys who did their duty came home in coffins----i was part of that generation who was drafted and served---most of us believed it was our duty.
