When someone who frequents a public forum is so roundly excoriated by everyone he attempts to talk to, you would expect that person to have enough sense to go elsewhere.
Why would anyone continue to promote his views when those views are despised? We don't always agree with each other, but it's ridiculous when everything a person says is so far off from common sense that not just his words but even the way they're misspelled are derided. I just don't see any gain in masochism, if that's what this is.

I almost quit a day or so after I joined, thinking that the website was a feeding ground for angry liberals. But, I'm glad I didn't. While it's true that there is a very loud minority of pests, the majority of contributors are thoughtful, intelligent, and reasonable. Posts by Loki, Blacksheep, and others on this thread prove my point. We don't always agree but I learn something every day.
I'm sure we all wish we could resist being sucked in by the troublemakers ... realizing that they do not want to contribute but rather to create as much chaos as possible ... kinda like liberals do in everyday life. They are thrilled at the attention they receive, no matter how negative. But, sometimes I just can't help myself.

I think its all how we act in our own level of first, respect to those we are responding to and then our own level of self respect in how we are viewed by the words we use to express....
Debating an issue with passion is alright, its when we loose focus to the issue and then attack the poster..Serves no useful purpose to anyone..Not the person angry enough to attack and those whom have to read it later...
We want a nice forum then its up to us to be responsible for its presentation..I'm new too, but have found it most enjoyable...All in how you perceive it and what you do to keep yourself out of the attack mode...
If we just stop and realize just because ones opinion is not the same as ours, it does not make that person a bad person, its the topic that drew it out..I'm glad we all don't have the same opinion, what a boring World it would be, human robots~~No Thank You..
