I joined this forum drawn by the promise that there would be positive, useful, balanced discussions of important topics of the day. Instead, my first comment was responded to with insults.

I am really happy that the right wing nut jobs in our society are a declining minority. We can't get you out of here fast enough.

Don't be too hasty. The nut-jobs will always be among us, angry, fearful, hateful, scared and stupid.

But they are not the majority, so stick around, offer an opinion, and you may be surprised that some will support you on some issues.

That premis is a sick joke at best my friend, but please stick around the few of us centerests here need company in educating the racists, peckerwoods, Birchers, Klansmen and Snake handlers who pollute the site with ignorance lies and hate. With some effort perhaps we can get a few to do some self reflection and rejoin polite society, if not at least they will be forced to face their bigotry rather than enjoying an echo board filled with nothing but the rants and manifestos of fellow travelers.

I, actually, took the time to read the comments directed toward you. It would appear you are very thin skinned. Further, I can assure you I have seen the Democratic Progressives on this site issue forth such gutter language soap should have been applied. I have seen it from both sides: however, it was a Democratic Progressive who, literally, hoped I would die a horrible death shortly.
