1st - Can't get a driver's license without passing a driver's test. Without a driver's license you can't get auto insurance.
Without auto insurance to pay the claim, if you cause an accident the person injured has no recourse.
So if people are on the road in NY I'd rather they have a license, no matter their citizenship status.
2nd - everyone in NY has to sign in to vote, or sign the request for an absentee ballot. Signatures don't match? Sorry, need to see your driver's license or other type of ID.

Can't speak to CA, as I don't live there. 😊

Have you looked at the micro-economy? Never mind. You'd never understand. Inflation is ticking back up. Debt is increasing, along with taxes. He's doomed economically except with his cultists that don't understand economics. Best thing he's got going for him is Trump; who is also unpopular.
