And you think that makes everything that happened that day was AOK and Trump is as pure as the new driven snow of what followed?
That includes 187 minutes of watching the debacle on TV without a peep.
Do you still stand by your original post?
Let's see what evidence of malfeasance from the J6 "select committee" that Rep Loudermilk exposes in his investigation thus far.

You mean MAGA came that date to NOT STOP THE CERTIFICATION AFTER TRUMP EXCORIATED PENCE for not stopping the Certification?
That erupted in MAGA CHANTING HANG MIKE PENCE and building a gallows on the grounds.
You are arguably the most dishonest person on this site. A few nuts that chanted ‘hang mike pence’ don‘t speak for the many just as you don’t represent liberals or Christians.

At Georgia rally, Pence says America will 'hear the evidence' of election fraud on Jan. 6

Vice President Mike Pence said Monday that the case for widespread election fraud would be made to the American people when Congress meets this week to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory over President Trump.
“We’ve all got our doubts about the last election. I share the concerns of millions of Americans about voting irregularities,” Pence said at an indoor congregation at Rock Springs Church in Milner, Ga., in support of Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in runoff elections there.
Pence, who by law will be tasked with declaring a winner of the Electoral College vote, seemed to leave open the possibility that Trump could still remain in power for a second term.
“Come this Wednesday,” he said, referring to the impending certification of election results, “we’ll have our day in Congress. We’ll hear the evidence.”
{It turned out quite differently as we watch the videos that were released from January 6 and NOT AT ALL AN INSURRECTION!!}

I never did call it an insurrection. As far as I am concerned, it was a moment of literal insanity. Most of the people that were there had no clue anything like that was going to happen. You had a handful of "experienced vets" and paramilitary hotheads getting all wrapped up in their self-glories and being complete idiots, then other people get all excited and before you know it you have hundreds of people loosing their cotton-pickin' minds.
They had no plans for a takeover.
They had plans to show up armed.
There's the... "Big Plan" for "taking over the government."
Trump was the biggest idiot of all of them all. He knew there was no actual plan to take over the government. I think he got a message from some paramilitary muffin-top about being ready and willing... (Yeah, that'll do it.)
I think Trump was just bathing the glow of loyalty as he watched Trump flags being carried to the siege. He probably got off on it. What he
should have been doing is acting like a leader and taking control, instead of sitting by himself watching it on TV. What a moron.
So, no - I don't think those people were particularly dangerous or that the event was anything more organized than a riot. But the example really should be made... Those peckerheads stormed the Capitol... The one building in Washington dedicated to the voice of The People. Anyone in their right mind should have known better.

You totally disregarded the link that I posted. Not surprising.
People were there to see if Congress were going to hear the evidence of election fraud that Mike Pence had promised a few days before the Certification of Joe Biden.
So, Pence was lying to the people when he said that the evidence of election fraud would be heard.

The right wing is becoming more and more dangerous every day. They have finally come to the realization that they cannot win elections proposing things that are abhorrent to the voting public. The seem to have decided that arming themselves to the teeth is a better solution than actually proposing a policy platform that appeals to the majority. The repugs refuse to submit a platform for voters to consider. They know that if they tell the voting public what the plan actually is that they will not only lose the election, they will most likely be run out of town.
What is the republican plan for the nation if they were to somehow win? Do you know? Does anyone who is not sworn to secrecy know? What has the right wing said their border plan is? They claim that the economy is in the tank while it is setting records. What do you say about that? They rant and wail about the border but refuse to vote on a comprehensive border plan that was put together by a very capable bipartisan committee because Fat Donny the Loser is terrified that if the border crisis is cured he will have nothing to talk about and the only subject will be his vast and and uncharted legal problems and his prospect of prison.

To answer that question, if I don't vote for Trump, what's the alternative? Fournmore years of Biden? And if that be true, and America is pissed off right now at old Joe, do you really think, now use critical thinking, that old Joe would resort to using force to eliminate his political enemies?
Thus, the prediction of Donald Trump is correct, and it is an observation......hate to point out the obvious but James Buchanan had Fort Sumner, as Lincoln took office. What would Joe have?
It’s trump who is fighting for presidential immunity .
If that gets done, then Biden would have immunity from killing off his competitors.

Your total lack of understanding of history and what causes communism is amazing. You are not thinking -Not at all. You are spouting the same lies you are fed. Sadly, trump will not allow them to FAIL next time.
Either way he will find a way to gather all power to himself.
He wille become a dictator as a way to stabilize the country from the Biden years.
He will play the Orban method.
He just met with Orban privately at MAL.
That is on public record.

A President doesn't get immunity if he commits murder.
That's irrational and dangerous.
https://theconversation.com/can-trump-be-prosecuted-supreme-court-will-take-up-precedent-setting-case-to-define-the-limits-of-presidential-immunity-224730The precise phrasing of the question the Supreme Court said it will answer is interesting: “Whether and if so to what extent does a former President enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office.” The court stated it will answer not only whether Trump might have immunity but also “to what extent” that immunity exists.
This raises the possibility that rather than simply answer if Trump does or does not have immunity, the court may be looking to extend immunity to some of Trump’s actions and not others. It could also indicate that at least some justices believe future presidents should enjoy some immunity from criminal prosecutions for actions they took while in office, but that this should not extend to what it is alleged Trump did in this Jan. 6 case.
Making this kind of distinction – which the D.C. Circuit ruling did not – could explain why at least four justices on the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case. Rather than simply affirm – or reverse – the lower court, the justices may be interested in making a more nuanced ruling than the lower courts have done.

You are wrong.
It was a lynch mob.
They stormed the Capitol with energy and intent.
Or did you forget?
Why did it take trump 187 minutes to stop it only AFTER they were being chased out of the CAPITOL?
He saw what the rest of America saw.
Ivanka and others begged him to intervene.
He ignored them.
