Trump was allowed to participate in the rally on January 6 to encourage "the Protesters to walk to the Capitol PEACEFULLY and make their voices heard". Everyone thought that the evidence of election fraud was going to be heard in Congress.

He had them assemble the EXACT same day and time because they were protesting the certification. Wouldn't be much of a protest if they had it a day or two later/earlier.

I've watched enough. Do I think January 6th was okay? No, I don't. I think people got out of hand and it should have been taken care of more quickly. I also think Pelosi should have taken up Trump's offer of the National Guard two days before January 6th happened. I also don't think it was half as bad as the Democrats are trying to make it out to be.
