The NC coast up from New Bern through VA Beach has a great climate, but a minor flaw. It is occasionally hit with a hurricane. But even Richmond has had that. Then too, on the other side of the beaches there's a fricking ocean with several kinds of sharks patrolling offshore. When it rains, it really rains, as in inches. Of course, at spring break, the viewing is great, but it is all for the youth. Darn it!
My party is now and ever shall be Republican, until we Conservatives gain enough members to be a competitive party. The GOOD Guys must clean house!

We're in Alabama right now, on the ocean, 65 and beautiful.

What a great view. I have a tendon problem that make humid areas bad for me so I will have to admire from pictures

Yep, Fort Morgan, The Beach Club. We come here for the winter every year.

Yeah I guess you canโ€™t cut the shoulder off. Luckily for you, youโ€™re not a democrat, itโ€™d be your head that has connective tissue problems!

I was a Republican for years and served on the city committee, delegate to state conventions, etc. I am now registered as unaffiliated. Here are some of the reasons.

1. Everytime there was a conflict with Democrats it is the GOP that caves and compromises.
2. They run pathetic, wimpy campaigns. McCain and Romney ran two of the worse Presidential campaigns ever. The recent governor's race in NC should have been an easy win, but the campaign was a disaster. The 2020 Congressional campaigns gave nothing for which the people to vote.
3. The GOP suffers from extreme poor leadership. It is beyond me how the current GOP chair has kept her job and McConnell should have been gone years ago.
4. There is no unity in the GOP because it tolerates too many RINOS.Give it to Democrats to always be unified.
5. The GOP is intimidated by the MSM and never realizes that it is never going to give them good publicity so they need to do what is right.
6. The GOP does not define the uncompromising principles on which it stands.
7. Just electing someone who calls themselves a Republican is not enough, if you cannot depend upon them when things get tight.
8. The lesser of two evils is still evil.
I could probably add more, but this gives an idea of why I am no longer a Republican

Sadly I totally agree with you on all your points. But you should be very happy the 2024 Republican candidate will be Donald J Trump. He's coming to clean out the swamp and will be casting the RINOS out on their arses.

Totally agree, what we seem to have is a โ€œUni-partyโ€. They differ in name only.
I can vision the members publicly opposing each other verbally when in front of the camera and then leaving together, laughing all the way to the bank!

RINOS and Democrats. Birds of a feather.

I reckon that you are a bit confused, the Republican Party (voters) left the GOP/RINOs IN 2016.

It will take some time to weed them out of the party completely, but it is a "Work in Progess".

Yeah I agree.
