You are right Kevyn, there have always been mentally ill people, for various reasons. Some biological/genetic, some trauma based. The problem here isn't that we shouldn't treat trans people with dignity and respect, the problem is that we are expected to "pretend" that they are what the say they are Because, they "feel" that way. I'll call Danielle Danny if she/he likes but I'll not say she is now a male because she says so.

You picked up on my comment. That scripture was behind it. One of the most powerful ancient Christian prayers is also found in those verses, it's called The Jesus Prayer. "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me the sinner." It is a repetitive prayer yet it certainly is not a vain repetition. The entire Gospel can be found in that little prayer inasmuch it says who Jesus is and it says who I am. It is also a powerful intercessory prayer, "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on_______." Simple, ancient and very effective.
