Maybe you should explain to Caboose why Obama is killing these people and their economy. He's trying to kill coal even though our air quality has been good for some time. The EPA did it's job in reversing our pollution problems. It's fine to use coal now because of the safety regulations the EPA has put into place.
Now however is the time to back off of the coal mines and let these people get back to work. What exactly is it that Obama has against those folks living and working in Appalachia? Why does he want the EPA to close these mines down? Is he trying to kill their economy and force more of them onto the government welfare programs? These very same people that you claim Caboose wants to hurt, are the same ones Obama is hurting now! Obama and the EPA need to find another so called problem to solve.

Ever heard of "clean coal technology"? Let the mine owners make the proper investment and the EPA will not shut them down.

Besides, fracking is producing natural gas which is cheaper to use than coal in most industrial applications.

Get your facts straight before crying the blues

I hope all are reading that the Tea Party no longer claims to be part of the Republican Party. Wow somebody help me understand this

The Republicans used the tea party folks the way a rake would a drunken harlot at closing time. They served the purpose of the moment but in the light of morning it is time for them to hit the road. The analogy go's even further in that the tea party will leave the Republicans with a painfull burning sensation that they will have a hell of a job getting rid of. And as jilted as the Tea-baggers are they will show up at the most inopportune moments bringing the Republicans shame and regret for years to come.

Yes I have heard of everything you said. Yes we have clean coal technology. So why is he still wanting to shut down all of these coal mines? Even if the owners don't convert the coal is still being sold to China and other countries in the open market. I do have my facts straight. Just explain why Obama is trying to kill their economy? Why is he having the heavy hand of the EPA attack when this coal can be sold to other countries thus they keep their jobs and we have more exporting business. It's a win win for the economy and these folks.

Where I live there are not too many with the WIC or other handouts but when I see em, they are pretty careful how the money is spent an they pay cash for the balance.

The Tea Party runs on the Republican ticket and gets funding and support from registered Republicans. They are Republicans. They want a balanced budget by reducing social programs of all types. They seem oblivios to human suffering in that respect. They want to abolish the IRS and change to taxes based on consumption. The rich get richer and the poor suffer the burden. They don't see it that way but that is how it would be.The best way to stop the Tea Party is to vote in all elections. If you are a Republican vote for Real Republicans. I have no advice for Democrats other than get up get out go vote.

Rickdri...finally a post on the tea party that comes from a well informed , educated on the movement and concerned patriot. Thanks for your post. The "Tea Party" did so well so quickly because they were mainly republicans, had a lot of members already elected and serving and used the republican machine to further their agenda. To srart a 3rd major political party in this country from scratch would be almost impossible these days because established republicans and dem's want to keep everyone else out. It's been the republicans that has tried to bury the "Tea Party" it cuts into their power. I hope they regroup and make a big splash like they did 4 years ago. It's the last and best chance to really start putting this country back together again.

Bo those Appalachia people you are valiantly defending have been fiercely independent since they first immigrated here. They would for the most part prefer the government stays out of its business and it's life's.

Just because someone is poor financially doesn't mean they are poor emotionally or spiritually.

The government has very specific responcilities toward to people but that does not include blowing their noses and wiping their butts cradle to grave. This is what people like Ben Carson describe as slavey to the government.

We no longer have a government for by of the people. We have the haves and the have nots . A long time ago someone in the gov't said give them enough so that they will complain but will do nothing about it.
