Corona virus kills anout 5 percent of its victims. There is also damage to the survivors. Since about 20 percent of Covid19 victims need some medical intervention, I suspect perminent damage to lungs, heart , kidneys and liver may be high. I have not seen any stats on perminent damage yet. But this is not the sniffles for a sizable part of its victims. This is not the flu.

Some are stupid indeed. But others can watch and read the news and see the contradictions and what they're NOT reporting - the omissions and who they silence.

You and many others make the mistake of thinking all who question are downplaying the disease. We aren't. And we're not stupid but aware.

There is no wisdom in blindly believing the government. None. This is the same government that has experimented on its own people in the past. Why on earth would you put so much blind trust in them?

People need to THINK.

Stop perpetuating the media panic. If you are under the age of 55 you have less of a chance of death from Covid than from the flu, under 35 the common cold is more deadly. Since most people in the work force are younger than 55 they can go back to work, stay away from old people until they get and recover from the Covid and the retired people stay home. There will be a lot more asymptomatic and mild to moderate cases of Covid but very few increased deaths.

If you are wise and responsible like you claim to be, no one will force you to go out without protection and be responsible for your death! If this country continues to stay shut down for another six weeks, the virus will be the lesser of many problems!

Even with the vastly underreported number of cases the 5% figure does not apply until you are over 75 and tops out at about 15% if you are over 90. Under 15 it is 0.01%, under 35 it is 0.1%, the same as the flu. Even between 35 and 55 the death rate is about 0.8%. You really need to get away from the media hysteria.
