A few weeks ago, a poster said we ought to go back to work and not worry about the sniffles. We now have had over a million cases of covid19, with over sixty thousand American deaths. Here in the South, stores are reopening as are all kinds of other businesses and crowded beaches. Dr. Fauci and other pandemic medical specialists are warning us in no uncertain terms that this will cause both corona cases and deaths to increase, and cause a second surge. I urge all people to stay home, if you have to go out, maintain social distancing and wear protective gear. STAY WELL.

best, I served in Viet Nam aboard a destroyer. That war lasted about two decades. It caused around fifty seven thousand American lives. This pandemic has been around for only four months and has caused fifty eight thousand American deaths, with a lot more to come, and you have the unmitigated chutzpa to ask why now? Do you value human life, or do you own a business that you value more? Hard times come and go, but thousands of people that have died will never see their loved ones again, because death is forever!

If your widow loses you, and your children never see you again, will your survivors still call Dr. Fauci an alarmist? Your damned right I am alarmed over the thousands that have died, and the thousands more that will.

Naw, it was all a hoax, all those dead people are really still alive and the photos of folks on ventilators was photo shopped. When you get tired of something - just pretend it doesn't exist and everything will be ok.

I agree with the last part. We should all remain on the alert because I believe that there will be a second wave and maybe beyond.

On average, 8,000 people die daily in the USA....and many of the deaths attributed to covid-19 are actually deaths from natural causes. Another fact, if you factor in those people now testing positive for antibodies, the number of all covid-19 cases would be closer to 1.5 million....but that will never be reported because it would drive the death rate to less than 00.5 percent...it would also drive the 'recovered' to over 600,000 and that would almost be half of the reported active cases of 876,000.

What WHO and CDC is not publishing is the R0, pronounced “R naught,” of the virus. But, an earlier study based on information from China, gives covid-19 a RO of 5.7..... meaning that each of the half million people who were infected and did not know it infected up to 5.7 individuals and those people infected up to 5.7 and so forth even before the US knew we were invaded. What this means, that 1.5 million is a very low estimate....the other concern, we know there are at least two strains of this virus.... what is the RO of the more lethal strain, the East coast strain? If that RO is close to 5, then we should begin to see not just a flattening of the curve, but a decline in infections in some populations, specifically in white and Latin women. This would also mean that the 82 percent herd immunity has already been reached in many over populated cities.

I am not worried about dying. I have put my faith in Jesus Christ.

This virus is no worse than the flu. We need to take special precautions with those at risk. I have heart disease and am high risk.

Before restaurants were shut down here in Arizona, I went to crowded restaurants twice a week up to March 19th when they decided to shut them down. Did not contract the disease. My wife and I do practice social distancing.

Suddenly an immense “fear factor” has been spread by Dr. Fauci and the MSM and supported by a group of totalitarian slanted governors.

What amazes me is that you are a Vietnam Veteran that fought for our country and believe in the freedoms of Americans but are willing to give up your rights for a hoax. The elite are privileged and can do as they choose but the workers and businesses are denied their right to work and earn a living.

You have been ensnared in Charlottes Web. Are we to close down our businesses every time we have a flu or virus? The original projected numbers presented by the CDC actually justified a serious concern and severe actions like business shutdowns and lockdowns. The revised numbers indicate this virus is no worse than the flu and that the CDC was wrong in their assessment and the government should have shortened the lockdown and minimized the time of small business shutdown.

By the way, as a Vietnam Veteran, thank you for your service. Stay safe!

Fauci has become a bureaucrat and hasn’t seen patients in many years. Being a doctor is a perishable skill. There are other experts out there but they are being largely shut out. The media doesn’t tell people that the vast majority recover. Yet people don’t question, they just do what they’re told.

Not everything adds up.

Jeff, The lord in all his wisdom and glory gave you a brain. He gave you instructions about how to live your life. Literally, Use your brain. Thank you for your essential job that you do, but if you can, do your business by phone if possible. If not, maintain 6 feet distance with other people, wear a safe mask, and be aware. I'm over 75, have controlled high blood pressure and am heavier than I should be. My wife has even worse health preconditions. I'm pissed off as hell. I'm a fanatic fisherman, and can't go on charters and head boats. I can't see my grandkids. I'm still better off than lots of other people who are losing their jobs or business.
