I saw the snippet on TV and one person who has contracted and is cured gets the antibodies. He can provide a blood sample and this results in three antibody plasma packets that can then be administered to others who will develop the immunity.

I guess the studies aren't as reliable as a snippet on tv...

Was it Hannity? Saw him recommending that New Yorker could go to baseball games if they drank beer through a straw

If you want to know how it really works call the Blood Connection @ 1-864-751-1168. It’s called convalescent plasma.

If you like you may also call the Red Cross. To donate convalescent plasma, you must have been cured of the coronavirus for 28 days with no symptoms.

One person in each family needs to get a plasma transfusion to get the antibodies and immunity. That one person goes to a blood banks and gets a plasma transfusion which can provide three antibody plasma packets for three more family members. After these three members get the antibodies and immunity, they go to the blood bank and get blood transfusions which can supply nine antibody plasma packets, They follow suit and supply 27 antibody plasma packets. By this time 31family members are immune to the Coronavirus and can get back to their daily routine.

I haven’t stopped my daily routine since this started I work in Dairy. I live in La Porte and work in Schulenburg, Texas. 120 miles apart, the only grief I see is Buc-ees isn’t overcrowded in Katy, my commute to and from on I-10. The 120 fuel pumps are still mostly populated and the world record longest car wash is 5 lanes down to 1. Sounds like our Chik-Fil-A drive through here in La Porte, 5 lanes down to two. I ordered Gringos Friday night, got mixed fajita chicken, beef, shrimps and Baja ribs. A weeks worth of chips and salsa, green sauce and pico de galio. We got the queso extra large and a $50 gallon of top shelf margaritas. There was a tub of butter I dove into with a shrimp and shook off on a tortilla and whipped out a fajita taco dripping onto the next one. Pulled a rib bone out and formed some melt in your mouth ribs. Took a long draw off a tall salted margarita and thanked God for the day.
Have fun

Serious discussions usually involve the willingness to engage with conflicting opinions and information...

Good luck with the plasma...

Serious discussions involve facts not hearsay. As an example, can you back up your argument you gave that they didn’t work in Korea?

I can back up the fact that there have been over 100 individuals reinfected in Korea...

But don't trust me... Check it out for yourself...

Checked it out

You are immune for one year and beyond that you can be re-infected unless herd immunity sets in.

This is based on what study?

When I need "one year immunity covid19" into the search engine I get nothing that supports that premise...

Anyways, as the virus hasn't been around for a year it would be impossible to make that statement...

The Verge. com is a media sites... Not a scientific journal...

The Convalescent Plasma is more of a stopgap measure not a cure. It can last for an indeterminate time, weeks to months or years but the antibodies will eventually be depleted. A vaccine will still have to be developed which will allow the body to develop its own antibodies. For that reason, it is possible to get reinfected.

The advantage of the convalescence plasma is that it buys those treated some time to allow herd immunity to take place, those who have been infected whose bodies can actually develop antibodies. As the herd grows the exposure declines.

The reinfected in Korea never used plasma... That's what scientists are concerned about... They should have developed antibodies to prevent further infection...

Plasma is excellent for those that are infected... It can boost the immune system and help to fight the virus...

But it doesn't provide immunity...

And if they studies coming out are accurate, a vaccine might not either
