But how do you separate them and tell the good ones from the bad ones and how do you know which will cut off your head for a remark like this and which ones won't and can we really take a chance regarding this. If we send them all back to their native countries we will have solved the problems in one action.

Common sense, bahmer!

I bet the American Indians once faced a similar dilemma

Most likely. The canadian indians as well. And the Aztecs and Mayans in south America. That was then, this is now. There was a saying a number of years ago. "America - love it or leave it". It applies.

Are you guys new? All muslims have the geopolitical manifesto named koran and sharia law PERIOD. All muslims are required to kill, convert or collect a fee from infidel males. Females are chattel. non muslims are infidels.

Sex and religion sure creates a lot of dissent when it should create a lot of love, compassion and wholeness...

Such private matters is no ones business and we should go back to that foundation .... I don’t care what religion you are or gender or sexual preferences, why is it all so important to others and what right does anyone have to condemn a person for their beliefs?

Very true - we should live and let live, without being shunned or proslytized to concerning our religion or sexual preference. When I was young (many moons ago☺) I lived near Argonne lab. So I went to school with many different cultures. Most or probably all more well traveled and well heeled than myself. I was curious about them, and the only big difference is I felt sorry for them cuz they didn't have Christmas. HOWEVER...none of them tried to foist their beliefs or religions or mores on us, nor did we on them, and did their best to blend into our culture within their own boundaries. They were good guests and/or immigrants. The people coming now, most notably Muslims, are NOT good guests and/or immigrants. They have no desire to blend into our culture within their own boundaries, and consistently proselytize about their theocracy and are consistently "offended" by others' religious traditions. So why be here? Would you invite someone in to your house who considers you inhuman?

Wow..... really? Whenever a discussion like this comes up..... Christians being treated badly.... and those Christians may live on the moon...... sooner or later a antisemite will come up with "the Jews." In this case a Muslim says that Christians offend him.... so your reaction.... Blame the Jew!

HA right on Pennylynn. My question was if Christ being called the son of God offends them, what is their problem with Jews?

Thank you Linda.

Did you know, according to FBI statistics 54 percent of all (reported) hate crimes in the US are against Jews and 75 percent of all Jews in the US has experienced antisemitism... The vast majority of hate crimes against Jews go unreported and many that are, those taking the information simply say "possible hate crime" which is not included in FBI statistics. So, I suspect that 54 percent is very low....yet how many marches have we orchestrated against any other religion? This is not to say that we do not have our "crazies" because we do. Do we have Jews that resent muslims... oh yes we do. In my almost 70 years, I have learned a fact, indisputable and it crosses all religions, policies, and has no nation.... hate does not have a religion color, or borders...

Enough of my soap box.....
Thank you Linda. br br Did you know, according ... (show quote)

I've never been able to figure it out. I went to school with some Jewish kids and felt sorry for them cuz they didn't have Christmas - until they told me about Hanukkah. Then I was jealous

Don't make a remark like that in the first place, why?

We have heard a fair number of religiously inclined people make what I think is a good point, and it's about gays making such a big deal about being gay, how they want special privileges because they are.

I am of the opinion that they can keep their sexual preferences to themselves, nobody needs to know or be told they are gay unless their flaming personality makes it obvious.

Religion is the same, nobody needs to know, and there are no special privileges accorded with being so. You don't get to treat anyone including gays differently because of your personal religious beliefs.

People in general do not feel anything about a person's religion, unless perhaps it's christian's about muslims or vice a versa. People are not persecuting christians, they are persecuting racist misogynistic bigots who happen to be doing it in the name of religion, and that is giving christians an associated bad name.

This rhetoric that christians are being persecuted is wrong and it's dangerous to make people feel that they are being persecuted as a group.

I agree with your first 2 paragraphs. The second two? Blah blah blah b.s. b.s. b.s.

I have reached s conclusion about our country...it’s not Democrats and Republicans that cause the problems. We are a divided country...Christians on one side and non believers on the other. It’s only a matter of time before the Baptists and other Protestants are derided just as the Catholics and Jews are today. We are facing an epidemic in this country and we must be prepared to fight for our rights. We drove the Muslims back once upon a time but we’re too weak to stand against them now.
Instead, we elect them to public office. What’s up with that?

Baptists are already derided. They are "bible thumpers" .......

I know that. But someone was making the case that Muslims don't like us calling Christ the son of God. So my question was, then, what's their problem with the Jews?
