ObamaCare Deals Seniors Another Blow

On January 1, 2014, ObamaCare cut nearly $22 billion from Medicare home health care over four years. That means an estimated 3.5 million poor and ill homebound senior citizens woke up on New Year's Day to discover that ObamaCare had slashed funding for their home health care program.

Last year, Medicare home health services were delivered to approximately 3.5 million Medicare beneficiaries. According to the federal government's own data, these seniors are older, poorer and sicker than the Medicare beneficiary population as whole. Many of these seniors also reside in rural communities, where home health care is especially important because other sources of treatment are often located many miles away.

But wait, there's more: according to the Obama Administration's own statistics, "approximately 40 percent" of all providers of home health services face net losses as a result of this Medicare cut. Put more plainly, 4-in-10 of all the providers on whom homebound seniors depend face the threat of bankruptcy and closure as a result of ObamaCare. That's 5,000 home health care companies and 500,000 jobs wiped out in order to pay for ObamaCare.

Of course, this is merely one example of how ObamaCare is hurting American citizens, affecting American businesses and impacting American jobs.

That is a frightening number of jobs lost. Where do they find another job and who will care the elderly. Having grown up as he did why would he care about the elderly! Yet his mother in law lives with him. That slime must be impeached!!!

Being elderly, this scares me. My son swears that I will not go to a nursing home. His wife is a kind, gentle, caring person; but if I am unable to care for myself, why should she have to do it.

I cared for my mother in law, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I've NEVER known it to fail! Whenever you see a socialist command-and-control based "health care" system, the ruling mentality is always the same: Since government is now in charge of a dwindling number of financial and material resources, due to it's idiotic confiscation of the very means to produce wealth in the first place, therefore, government refuses care and treatment to the VERY PEOPLE that such a MARXIST system is supposedly designed to serve in the first place: namely, the poor, downtrodden, and chronically ill among us!
Combine this with an Obama Regime, which "thinks" that the elderly are it's greatest political liability--and would much sooner aid in forcing their premature deaths--and we come to the very sick realization just what King Obama meant when he promised to use the power of government to "reward our friends and punish our enemies!" This, to rousing, demented chants of "Si, se puede!"
But, not to worry. The younger Obama supporters, with whom the transferal of resources from the elderly to THEMSELVES (where it can "do the most good," you understand), will be similarly singled out for this sort of craven deprivation later as they age. That's when they'll find out that this thing of the vulnerability and dispossession that always seems to come with age today--is no joke: IT WILL BE THEIR TURN! Pitty that by then, it will have long become too late...

I didn't vote for him either. He's a liar and has the mentality of a street con artist. Did anyone see the post about oscandal getting this gay guy drugs and allowing him to perform felatio on him? It was in a documentary. A man (can't recall his name), who is gay and went to Chicago on business. This was before oscandal was a senator. The gay man wanted some cocaine and someone to escort him around. He asked the cab driver and the cabbie called oscandal. Then, everything proceeded to go on. Oscandal comes from the streets and is also a muslim. He always went against the muslim belief system, by doing and selling drugs and being involved in gay activities. He should never have been voted as our president. The gay man that revealed his activities with oscandal was speaking in front of an audience of businessmen. He had to be brave to get up there and tell the truth about oscandal. If only more people knew of this man and could have heard what all he admitted to doing with oscandal.

It's simply the genocide of the ill and elderly. If they're too ill to work and pay taxes obullshit would rather see them dead. Then he can give what's left of their social security to illegals to pay for THEIR health care...on the off chance that they'll actually vote for that criminal.

Since the younger Americans in good health that Obama counted on to pay for this fiasco are not signing up the only choice he has is to raise premiums and cut benefits to the elderly, all after the November election of course. Until then we will get a lot of made up numbers saying how great it is going.

This is one of the greatest miscalculations I have ever
witnessed. The young people are now covered on their parents insurance policies. They now, thanks to the ACA, have insurance. My grandson does.
