You have a sense of humor. Jews have been living among you for years... from the first settlers in the US. You may not know it because we stand for the Anthem (not kneel), we display our American flags, we do not live on the generosity or welfare from our gentile neighbors, and we work. We do not demand special places to pray and we would never stop transportation or interrupt schedules of others so we can bow to the East 9 times a day. In fact, you probably do not even know that we are Jewish unless you came to our homes and puzzled over the need for two refrigerators and two stoves in the kitchen.

As for entitlements... frankly it is only people that share your views that always brings up the "chosen people." When you are chosen by G*d there is no need to remind others... In our mind, a gentile is as worthy as we are... we hold no special keys. The afterlife will be generous for all that believe in one G*d, the Father and creator.

So... get over the propaganda that others would have you believe and go find a Jew... talk with them, make friends and give up the decades old hatred.
You have a sense of humor. Jews have been living ... (show quote)

What is the need for two stoves and refrigerators in the kitchen? It indeed does puzzle me, (I assume it isn't for purely convenience sake.) I would be happy to learn more if you don't mind educating me.

No problems, I am happy to answer your questions.... now or in the future, just ask.

We store milk products separate and cook them separate from meat. We do not mix the pots and pans.... if we cook meat in a pot, we can not use that pot for milk products. And so it goes with the stoves. So, where does this strange tradition come from... Jews are forbidden to: 1) to cook meat and milk together, 2) to eat meat that was cooked with milk, 3) to receive any benefit from such a concoction. The Rabbis derive this prohibition from the phrase לא תבשל גדי בחלב אמו generally translated as “do not cook a kid in its mother’s milk,” which appears a total of 3 times in the Torah (Bible is broken into sections: Torah (Teaching), Nevi’im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings)), Exodus 23:19, & 34:26 and Deuteronomy 14:21. So as to not offend G*d, we error on the side of caution and keep it all separate. This is why I do not allow our maid (I am an old woman and do not clean as well as I did when I was young) to wash our dishes or for the most part do anything in the kitchen.

Hope this helps.

Anyone who doesn't like the borders of Israel should take that argument to the French and Brits, they set the borders after WW I. As well as those for Lebanon, Syria, iraq, Iran, Jordan and the rest of the middle east. Why pick on Israel which also included Jordan until the raghead king whined and cried until he was given the greatest share of trans Jordan and created a wasteland.

Got interrupted there, but Israel's policies regarding owning homes, property, businesses, and living in their country are quite tolerant. Especially considering that this includes these things for persons who hate them, such as many, if not most, Palestinians, (Arabs),....which is all that Palestiaians are, etc.

Pennylynn,

And that is also why there will never be butter on the table when meat is served as part of the meal and also why you can't have a cheese burger (I hate that part). Those two would have really surprised him. And I've even heard of some Hasidic(sic) Jews who have ithree refrigerators, a third one just for Passover.

Thank-you. I am aware of those passages in the Bible and it makes sense.

I am Hasidim... but we only employ duplicates in the kitchen... Passover is work!
I start by clearing the pantry of all things considered unkosher for passover, then the refrigerators (but, when a small child/baby is in the house I do keep food for them...leaven or not), then on to the scrubbing and purification.... for 2 weeks before passover the work does not end!! But, it is worth it. All the food is taken to our homeless shelter or given to neighbors who are gentile or reformed... One of my cousins has the 3 refrigerator thing going on... for me, it is not practicable. I live in a farm house with a large kitchen but not big enough for 3 of everything. I do however, have separate table settings that is only used during passover.

Thank for the reminder about the butter... I failed to mention the table settings or the type of salt we use... and wine can only be kosher.... many rules... I am a vegan, but I can imagine having to forgo a cheeseburger... Of note for anyone curious.... I was born a vegan, Mother tried to force me to eat meat and fish... stomach rejected it. Doctor says that I am missing Proteolytic enzymes which allows digestion of animal protein. I do not even know what a burger should taste.. but, I cook quite a few for family!!

It depends.... how are the biscuits made? If you put bacon near it... then absolutely no way.
Gravy... we use gravy and cheese sauces, we just do not put it on meat or fish.
