Are you serious what the hell is it with you people. You understand that Obama was dealing with a Republican control Congress. Obama tried to Limit size of Gun Magazines, Ban the sale of assault weapons, Eliminate Gun Show loopholes, ban the sale of guns to terrorest on the watch list, ban the sale of guns to people on the no fly list. I could go on and on but just that stupid statement shows how out of touch with reality you are.

Now tell me what the hell Trump has done or is trying to do. You people amaze me with what you believe.

And YOU amaze me with what you believe. I'm more than a little tired of you, and other leftist here always spewing crap about the "gun show loop hole". Please, if you can, provide me a definition of the "gun show loop hole" and explain how it works to circumvent the law.
This should be interesting. Any other liberals here, please feel free help af1.

You do know how to be included in the "terrorist" watch list, right? Here's a hint, it is the no fly list. And how do you get on the no fly list? Some bureaucrat puts you on the list and it's damn near impossible to get off. I believe Sen Ran Paul was at one time on the no fly list. Heck, YOU might be on the no fly list, have you tried to board an airliner lately?
SGM B out.

This isn't about school shootings, and this isn't about ... violence anymore, this is about jumping knee jerk respinses from the left using the horrific shooting of kids..

I even heard a talk show host imply there are plenty thinking this sick demented shooting spree of children was “ orchestrated “ to take the heat of the daily slams the dems were getting because of their sick perverted spying, lying and criminality being fully exposed!

At first I dismissed it, as I thought more about it I am not so readily dismissing it now!!

Maybe it's about cruelty to dumb animals, that is putting guns under licence, what's wrong with needing a licence to own a fire arm ? , we have to be licenced to drive on the public road, which is just about as dangerous for dumb animals.

Actually I was riding in the highlands yesterday and nearly hit an anteater crossing the road, fortunately I was observing the speed limit to protect my licence and the accident was avoided.

Nothing wrong with a licence system for owning and using all kinds of guns.

Maybe a good idea if airfare would go to a gun show and try to buy a gun illegally , however I wouldn't bet any money on him or others of like mind to believe it !

It's already against the law to kill or murder someone but it happens. One of the ten commandments is "Thou shall not kill" but it happens. There are already laws on the books that restrict and infringe on peoples ability to possess fire arms but people still get shot and killed. Knives are used to kill people, vehicles are used to kill people, bombs are made and used to kill people. People kill other people and it matters not what instrument is used because it is the person that kills, the internal psychology, the psychic, the defective gene, or maybe it's as complex as lack of education, poor parenting, or mental or physical abuse. So now, as a result of recent school shootings it becomes imperative that we do something, even if it is wrong, in order to make us feel better and show everyone that we care. I personally don't think more laws, more restrictions, or more regulations will do a damned thing to keep this from happening again, because law abiding, caring, loving people already obey current laws. Whether you are religious or not you can not deny that evil has existed from the beginning of time and like it or not evil is only an individual perception and individual perceptions are learned values. They are values that are instilled in every individual from birth to death and they come from everything and every avenue of influence in our lives. Even if we could take the total human and peel the layers of influence off, like an onion, one at a time and analyze them in great detail we still may not find the defining cause that makes someone kill another. Even if we could there would probably be uncountable endless variations and or possible causes that would make and individual take the life of another.
I don't have the answers, nor do I have the solution but I do know that what we are currently doing with laws and restrictions against law abiding individuals is not working because it only addresses the symptoms (instruments of death) and not the cause.

The law as written is only for dealers, private parties are not covered.

The difference in America being driving is considered a privilege while bearing arms is a Constitutional right. I don't believe this was the case in Australia.

I'm glad you missed the anteater...especially if it was your motorcycle you were riding.

Out of the total number of firearms sold in the US, private sales of firearms is minuscule.

True...which is why if we want to do something about school security we'd better be thinking of what we can do NOW.
