AMEN to OPP!! I would like to encourage those who would to emulate people like a dear friend I recently lost this past December.
To my way of thinking he was a true American hero and patriot. His name was John Baptist Kotmair, Jr. from Westminster, Maryland.
A funeral is a valued reminder that we too will one day pass as we reflect on a loved one's passing and how finite and short our time on this earth really is. But more than that, it is a time to think about or examine what we are living for and ask ourselves how we have treated each other as well as other serious questions we tend to brush aside in the normal daily grind. But this too, is not what the thrust of my posting.
John's passion was to educate the public concerning our Christian heritage and legacy of a Constitutionally limited government left for Americans by our Founding Fathers. In remembering what the Founders used to pick their leaders I firmly believe we need to analyze that philosophy just a bit. They strictly followed the guidelines of Exodus 18:21. "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people ABLE MEN, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness"; notice that God put and ABLE MAN before a man that feared God. While having lived a mere 7 decades, I can hardly recall a time when an able man was chosen over a God fearing man down through history. Clearly there have been many God fearing men who have been proven to be simply incompetent at worst, and basically unqualified to lead at best, in any capacity.
Obama was not God fearing, was not a Christian and proved to be totally incompetent. Bill Clinton was not God fearing and was out of our personal power. Jimmy Carter claimed to be a Christian but held Israel in contempt and proved to be...well...misleading. FDR was God fearing but totally incapable of performing his job. And Woodrow Wilson turned out to be almost Anti-American with the segregated military, which labeled him a racist, among other anti-American ideologies.
I could go on and on about our leadership but there are things we need to pay close attention to when we elect someone to serve "We the People". Our Founders designed a system that works if it is worked correctly. "Able men" are men who understand how business works, who understand the needs of a nations people, a person who creates opportunities for growth within the parameters of each person's specific interests. In other words, we should vet each elected official from the local dog catcher to the President of this great United States.
So because of John's zeal and love for his fellow-man and country he was identified as an enemy of the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service. They attacked him and the Fellowship he created without cause on numerous occasions. In 1981, using a stacked jury, they convicted him of "failure to file" and sentenced him to two years in Federal prison. In 1993 they raided the Fellowship and attempted to shut its doors and put him in prison once again. John and the members of the Fellowship prevailed under the Author of Liberty, God Himself.
So when we evaluate our own lives I suppose one of the most important questions we could asked would be based in what Jesus commanded in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Yes, the evaluated and vetted life is of Christ and worth living indeed.
Most American patriots who knew John Kotmair remember him as one of the strongest voices for his efforts in getting fairness and honesty in the tax assessment for the individual and small businesses. He and his wife Nancy recruited for the Patriot Network as well as their National Patriot Association. In addition to founding Save-A-Patriot Fellowship, he was the founder and fiduciary of Liberty Works Radio Network Fellowship. May he rest in peace!

To view the centrists to the left to believe in communism or socialism as a form of governing would be to equate the right to believe in oligarchy and fascism. When it is clearly somewhere in the middle people's freedoms are protected the most basically where our government was established. We wouldn't have to worry about making America great again if we focused on balancing and preserving the integrity of our government. Which is what makes us Americans, not the land we simply occupy.

Good morning, Morgan,the whole idea of freedom is first and foremost to care of yourself... here's a sample...when the Americans were moving west..it was all by great effort that they survived and prospered, as we are now, if these true frontiersmen and women of strength..could see how easy we have it, and see people demanding more help from the Government..not cause of physical or whatever the disability truly may require assistance but out of entitled emotions...
The pioneers would be aghast at people demanding that the gov provide every service...with every solid that the gov "gives"...in this giving there is always a payment plan of some sort.. whether it's working people's national debt increase or one more chop at the base of our freedom's.. everything costs something..
A stronger future for our children is when they are strong and do stand on their own..
The EPA rollbacks are nothing more than allowing business to flow without undue restrictions...
