Did you have to show proof of citizenship when you registered to vote?
Did you have to show an ID when you voted?
Thank you for your time.
I had to show my birth certificate, and social security card to get my drivers license, which is proof of citizenship. And I had to show my drivers license to vote. So, yes to both. I was horribly put out by it all!

I'm so glad you're asking about this. The answers in my case are yes to the first question and no to the second. As a matter of fact, now in California all you have to do to register to vote is fill out an online application and check "yes" in the box where it asks if you're a U.S. citizen.
If your not licensed to drive in this country then you probably are not qualified to be voting! How can you legally get by in our country with out an I.D.? You have to prove who you are to open a bank or credit account, buy insurance, rent or buy a home, enroll in school but most of all to legally cast your vote in an election? Duh?
