No, did the mail-in ballot, but had to sign an affidavit that it was really me.

When I got my drivers license I had to show my birth certificate (proof of citizenship) when I vote they scan my drivers license and have me sign the screen (like a credit card signature screen) and a paper voting log.

As a matter of fact, when my husband renewed his license last year he needed to bring in a copy of his birth certificate.

Did you have to show an ID when you voted? Yes. Linked to above, I would have to have proved citizenship before I obtained the ID.

Thank you for your time.

I do not know to whom you are replying, if to me (it helps if you would use the quote reply button). The answer is yes to both. Even though I am well known in my small square of the world and everyone knows my name, most I have known all my life.... when I went to first get my license (DL) I had to provide my birth certificate and each time I register to vote, I have to show my DL. But, there are some states that do not require you to be a citizen to get a DL... California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Vermont and Washington; so showing your DL to register to vote in those states means nothing.

Yes to both. I was also made to walk on my hands while singing the "Star Spangled Banner!"
I think I got tricked into that one.

I had to show photo ID with my voter registration card. Non citizens have been known to obtain voter registration cards in South Texas.

Looks like I'm in the minority here with not having to show any ID for the last 10 years. I guess that's California for you. Good to see other states are doing the right thing though.
