No bahm, when they first opened one here by me in the early to mid 80s, most everything was made in America, all the advertising in the front windows said made in Americal with that usual blue union looking label you will find on union made, American products.....don't know when that all changed....but you would spend a day looking for anything made here in their stores now. ...i never shopped walmart, never will either.....i would skin and eat the neighbors first the last ones tasted OK

When Sam died, that's when Walmart became loathsome.

The only way Walmart became the behemoth it is was by the consumer voting with their wallet. I have never seen nor heard of anyone being forced to spend money there. Liberty doesn't always result in the most pleasing results but the alternatives are far worse.

Couple things I would be really careful of:
Don't get careless with leftovers. Can't have you getting food poisoning. If in doubt, chuck it.
Also in your moving around. Think about who is going to help you if you fall. If you don't have one of those help lines, suggest you do.
Do you have someone to do check-ins with you?
Can you see assisted living in your life?
Another thought. Fortunately wife and I are still together and doing pretty well. Meals provided, telephone, cleaning of the apt once a week movies, bingo, 2 attendants on call 24/7 within reach of the call button.Though we hated to, we sold the home because we couldn't keep it going ourselves. Also the house was not equipped for people perhaps needing help walking. Shower and laundry were in the basement so no sense in investing money to up-grade to accommodate two oldsters so we sold it and moved out.
Anyway, I am not trying to be bossy just letting you know we do care.
Hang tough. If you need a bit of bs,send me a personal message.

Thanks my daughter lives about fifteen minutes away and she calls me several times a week and she is also my hair stylist. I also go over to her house for all of the major holidays for dinner or breakfast and the grandkids are learning how to cook and I get to help teach them as well.

Good Day to you Miss Joy! What? What is this "play" you speak? I vaguely recall an era of "play"!!! By the way, thanks for wondering. It is in those moments that give the human condition recipient hope!!!

Since I splurged for WiFi, I have been watching wwwaaayyyy too many videos and a bit of FOX news. Tucker cracks my up but he is rather rude too. (There must be something wrong with me!)

I have also been watching George Webb's "school play", which is exactly that, a "play", imho, tracking down the Seth Rich killer. He began his YT series with "Where is Eric Braverman[n]. I'll rate ole George at about 10% truth. I believe he connects "dots" that don't necessarily exist.

I have also been reading about your upcoming, is it 4? Or 7 days of "play" trip to Nevada? Is it? I hope you to have a splendid time at play, LindaJoy. Will Miss Brie be accompanying you on your journey? I believe I have read she travels well?

Speaking of travelling, My parents are retired, own a nice RV, and are currently travelling around the country visiting friends and family. They will get here to see me sometime this month. Can't wait. It's been about ten years since I've seen them.

I hate and despise WallyWorld (as I call it) also includes Sams Club.
They don't pay their employees a fair wage enough to survive. They keep their hours low so they don't pay overtime or benefits and so the employees qualify for State assistance...or their employees have to work a second job. It's ridiculous...just like McDonalds
The owners of WallyWorld are selfish, greedy, rich bitches and bastards!
I haven't stepped inside any of their stores and I refuse to park anywhere near their stores!
I tell my friends not to shop there or buy from McDonalds!

Distance is a problem. It would be a copper plated bitch to get everyone together.

Make money. Yes. But not by fleecing their customers.

Every day. I do envy them. They get to travel wherever they want. I think I'll ask them to leave me the RV in their will.
