To bad they didn't push harder during the ob admin.. All this admin. has to do is review how many programs where created, along with free housing and first crack at jobs, they weren't qualified to take, ahead of others that trained for them. They've had their opportunity, if
they still want to sit on the sofa and watch reruns of "Soul-Train and Jerry Springer," instead of getting work to support the 50 kids they've had out of wedlock for the benefits, to bad, so sad. They know this administration is going to require them to look for work, and required testing for drug use in order to receive benefits!

Finally, they can take their rightful place in society. Black People were the object of slavery until 1865. For another century, they endured racism, discrimination and Jim Crow Laws. I am really tired of blacks playing the race card forever. I am native American and was offered a scholarship to KU in 1956. However, I could not live on campus, I had to stay at the Haskell institute for indians about 15 miles away. I was also not allowed on campus after 7 pm. Basically, I said to hell with you I will go to school pay for my own and stay where I want to. My people were not strong enough to hold you invaders off our land so we had to learn to live with you. I will tell the blacks do the same thing, get some backbone and get it for yourself. Then you owe no one for what you have or aquire. If you think immigration is not a problem just ask any native American. Let me ask the blacks a question. There are Watasui's and Pigmies in Africa and both are black. Why don't they mix as you want here in the USA? Can't be color as both are black, is it because they are different?? No one owes anyone for things that have happened in the past, its called life!!

A well deserved reparation would be a one way ticket to Zimbabwe, or any other communist controlled African country, after renouncing American citizenship.

If you feel that you owe a debt to someone, then you go ahead and pay it - if it suits you. As for 'we' owing black people, I think you should clarify who 'we' are. And don''t include me in that 'we' group. And if you're going to come back and tell me how 'privileged' I am, or how 'my' ancestors were benefited from 'their' enslavement, then I have nothing for you. Talk to my ancestors, if you can find them. 'They' have been dead and gone for a very long time, on both sides of that coin. I don't know of a single slave in the entire United States, its territories or allied entities. I have never owned a slave, do not own any slave and have no intention of owning any slave. Nor have I ever been, or ever will I be, a slave.

The idea that I should pay reparations to someone, or some class of people, for a wrong perpetrated hundreds of years ago, by some people I never knew and had no influence over is just as wrong now as it was before and ever will be.

I have with my taxpayer money. Rather see it spent on something other than a Cruise Missile launched against a bunch of camels in the desert. I thing there is a greater chance you will get a return on your investment.

I believe you are right. It seems that blacks that have had no relatives from before the Civil War, still want the perks, just because they are black. No one or no race should receive special perks from the government and that includes state and city governments.
