Actually, that pic was posted before stating it was an early IBM computer being loaded. I can identify with that. In the middle 60's we had 2 Hagan (Prodac 250)computers at the power plant. The disc was about 18 inches in diameter and some 6 inches thick. Mounted vertically and spun at synch speed. Just an estimate, I suspect it weighed about 200 lbs. And all that for 32 kbytes. Surprised when Googling. It was mentioned in the Museum.
The point being, things have changed so much in the past 50 years, its hard to remember things as they used to be. Who new it was going to be like this ha? Hell I just put into my cell phone a 16 GB chip. No bigger than my small finger nail. What's it going to be like in the next 50 years?
