Yes, deporting all the illegals would help the poor a lot. It would open up billions of dollars for programs to help the American poor. It would also open up jobs for Americans because the illegals would have to give up the jobs they shouldn't have had in the first place! Enough of the Democrats and Rhinos crying about the "poor illegal that just wants a chance to work" and "if they are deported, it will break up families." How about Americans that just want a chance to work? How about the American families that are broke up because of poverty? If I remember correctly, this is America and these politicians took oaths to look after Americans and their interests. Wake up Washington D.C.!

The US Department of Agriculture seems to be a self-sustaining entity today. Food stamps seem like a moral choice, as long as someone is purchasing suitable food, which I suspect the latter.

My wife and I spend as little as a $100 a week and we eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables-you just have to know where to look for the deals. I have 3 boys, who are elementary to teenage years old and are doing quite well on a "natural" diet.

The Demon-crats would have you believe that they are for the poor and middle-class. If you've kept up on news, the middle-class is shrinking more every day. Their agenda actually is to have two peoples, the rich and the poor. A poor person is easier to control. Just give them enough to survive, but no more. Meanwhile the politicians can keep stuffing their pockets with more money and feel superior to the people whose lives they have made harder with their insane policies,(illegal-immigration, unemployment, healthcare, ect.)!

Are you talking about local politicians or federal politicians? If you are talking about federal, they should be doing NOTHING!!! It is not the responsibility of the federal guberment to provide for your personal needs. That is state and local responsibility!

The number one responsibility of the federal guberment(NOT MISPELLED) is "PROTECTING OUR NATION FROM ALL OUR ENEMIES BOTH FOREGIN AND DOMESTIC", and that is in the Constitution!

I am damn tired of these federal goodie programs that are rampant with fraud, waste, and abuse at hardworking tax payers expense! Not talking about Social Security and Medicare, for 'THOSE' who have "PAID" into the system it is NOT welfare!

The greatest answer for the poor is to get a job doing something and accept what you get paid and live with it!

I am 71 and have had many hard times but have NEVER accepted a hand out of any kind from the guberment! I worked hard at every job and accepted my pay and lived with it!

Sure, there are people who truly need help because of physical/health conditions but most of the time they can't get what they truly need because of all the freeloaders!

Do you truly know what the responsibility is of a politician at any level? It is to do what is "RIGHT" for the Nation/State/City/County and NOT to provide you whiney butts with goodies!

Who the hell said anything about wanting anything from our government other than accountability and honesty? I am 60 and not some naïve kid, I am also not blind to what's going on in this corrupt "government" we have. Yes, I know that there are a lot of freeloaders that don't want to work. I also know that it's not as easy to find work as it once was. But what really grinds me is this giving all kinds of assistance to illegal-aliens. These people are criminals by their very presence in this country. Yet billions of dollars meant for Americans go to these illegal-invaders! Social-services, medical, education, and jailing them when they have committed more crimes, all paid for by you, me, and other tax-payers!
