Obama stated that he has doubts that the GOP can come up with a better healthcare plan. The ACA is collapsing and the premiums are rising with reduced coverage. The bare bone bronze plan would cost me $252 per month or $3000 per year. The deductible is $6750 per year with a 30% co-pay. If you succumb to an illness in December that continues into January you out of pocket expense will exceed $13500 not including the 30% co-pay after paying $3000 per year in premiums. Is this really healthcare insurance or a government mandated subsidy to the insurer? There is a new slogan in town. " Make America sick again" The ACA is making American sicker because high deductibles discourages patients to seek preventive care and normal health maintenance because of the out of pocket expense. The ACA was supposed to reduce the cost of healthcare by reducing the number of ER visits but that has not happened. If a better healthcare insurance plan cannot be implemented by the GOP then the government should get the hell out of healthcare and allow a free market competition to offer a better solution. The choice of coverage options should be left to the individual that is paying the premiums.

What else would Obummer say?? His "legacy" is all crap, and he doesn't like it.

You nailed it Jars, get government out my life, let me buy the insurance I want from whom I want and from where I want. I really don't care if people who have deliberately destroyed their health with drugs, alcohol or whatever else have health care or not. Non Christian you say; how about "if you don't work, you don't eat".

Government has already made the commitment to be in the healthcare business and if the GOP can't deliver than they are going to get killed politically in the next two elections. As for impacting the ER I think the question is whether those visiting are covered by insurance or not. While the total number going to the ER is only slightly down (by 0.2%) the number of uninsured is down by a full 1.1% so while not dramatic Obamacare has worked to protect hospitals from a rise in indigent care. There is also the fact that many healthcare plans won't cover clinics, or only partially, whereas they will fully cover ER's (my insurance is like that).

F.D.R.

Many of the uninsured using the E.R. are illegals. This problem is easy to solve. Simply walk into an E.R. waiting room wearing a jacket that says I.N.S. and look mean. It won't take long for the room to empty.

No roy, you should read what you respond to. I clearly stated "I will buy the insurance that I want and need" and that would be deductible and catostrophic. I don't need government to tell me what I need.

Trump can drain the swamp if Obama's EPA does not declare DC as a federal protected "wet land"

The EPA, {like all the other agencies that are controlled by the secular liberal progressive cabal}, Tomtrout, has a new Sheriff to deal-with; and no matter what they now (D)eclare, will be totally subjected to conservative, "America first" approval. Even if the EPA now tried to (D)eclare "Barry" himself, as a "wet-land," the jig is up!!! Yippi yi yo kayah!!!GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRESIDENT "45" DONALD J. TRUMP!!! "MAKE AMERICA {AND ISRAEL} GREAT AGAIN!!!" "DRAIN THAT {RADICAL FASCIST LIBERAL "REGRESSIVE"} SWAMP!!!"
