I believe the constitution speaks of a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN can be president. That means...a person must have been born inside the US border, or other sovereign US territory like an embassy or aboard a US NAVY vessel. Nothing is said about the parents citizenship requirements.

I posted the precise requirements at the beginning of this thread. Nothing is said about the parents but his father was not a citizen at the time of his birth and his mother was. The Congress should have defined the franchise but as usual did nothing.

Questions have arisen about the eligibilities of Barry Goldwater (he was born in Arizona before it entered the Union), George Romney (who was born of Mormon parents in Mexico & didn't return to the United States until he was five & John McCain who was born to American parents in the Canal Zone which never became a state. It was an American territory but unincorporated and inelegible for statehood. His father was serving in the US Navy.

Yes. By the eligibility requirements set down in the constitution, Obama was eligible. However, by his anti-American ideology, he was unfit to be president.

Well, my wife detested BHO, and insists the channel be changed as soon as she hears his voice. But she will let me watch as he walks from chopper to fixed wing, etc. I watch closely, and sure enough, he entirely missed one salute, and on the other, right elbow against his side, tilts head down to meet the finger tips....eight years . Glad he'll be the fork out of there 1/20/17.

Pure disdain for the military, obama salutes like he's moving an errant eyebrow hair up.
