Why ??....isn't it his right as an American to do this ??......I think he has bigger problems...he's not starting and no team seems to be interested in him...
They signed that jackass to a 6 year $114 million contract (2014 to 20200. The last three years guaranteed if he is injured. This year $15.8 million is guaranteed when he passed the physical in April of this year.
Here's the breakdown of his contract:
Specifically, the terms of Kaepernick’s deal call for a career-ending injury to lock in prearranged salary guarantees. If Kaepernick suffers a career-ending injury this season, the 49ers are on the hook for $19.7 million in guaranteed salaries ($14.5 million in 2017 and $5.2 million in 2018). But there’s a rub that works in the team’s favor: As part of his deal, Kaepernick purchased an insurance policy that awards $20 million to the 49ers in the event of such an injury. In essence, the 49ers are covered even if Kaepernick’s career comes to a sudden catastrophic end.
That insurance policy was supposed to take some of the risk out of the later stages of Kaepernick’s contract, making it more palatable to retain him, even if he was relegated to backup status. But the contract also contains offset language, which means the 49ers could cut him loose and not be held responsible for an amount matching whatever another team pays him. Should he be released and land a $3 million contract elsewhere, the 49ers save not only that money, but also avoid a $1.125 million roster bonus that kicks in when the 53-man rosters are finalized on Saturday.
I hope the cut him before this Saturday...

Colin Kaepernick should never be allowed back on an NFL football field.

As usual, many have come out and said that he is enttiled to his opinions and it's freedom of speech, etc. They are certainly correct as far as they go but there is much more to it than just that. The NFL & The Forty Niners are private concerns and they are entitled to discipline their players as they see fit.
A bunch of years back, Rudi Giuliani objected to The Brooklyn Museum showing a painting of The Blessed Virgin Mary, by an African artist, using elephant dung. Hillary and Susan Sarandon weighed in with 'artistic freedom,' etc. Well, Giuliani was right; when tax dollars support it or its venue, tax payers have a right to say no.
Seems pretty stupid if you ask me. I know I wouldn't want to insult the USA and go out on a field of green to be "tackled" by some 350 pound defensive lineman. One might get hurt.
Colin Kaepernick is done but SF will still have to pay him for the next 2 to 3 years if they cut him lose !

I misread your post. I thought he correctly called Obama a racist. My mistake.

Trump was near the bottom of my GOP picks for the POTUS nomination, but Democrats calling him a racist is both predictable and untrue.
I quite agree with you Dave. When push comes to shove.....the panic button in sight.....what do they do? Play the race card. It happens every 4 years. Unfortunately, they succeeded the last two elections. I do believe that the masses are wising up. (from my lips to God's ears.)
This is sickening. If his father is "black", what on earth is his mother?
Dude looks like a far Eastern version of Adam Sandler.
Since wikileaks released thousands of Hillary's "deleted" e-mails, not only was it found that the D.N.C. were set on nominating Hillary, and not Sanders, no matter who the voters wanted. It was also found that the D.N.C. sent out Tweets, in Trumps name, making sexists statements to make Trump look bad( he doesn't need your help), so how can we be sure the racist e-mails are really from Trump, or just more D.N.C. attacks?

Holy crap, it's friggin hilarious.....I don't think you'll get what you want with any Dr interviews....her health records were already released....this is just nonsense and a waste of time.....another day closer to the Presidency

I don't see what his contract has to do with his right to do what he's doing...or not doing....if he was making less money, would it bother you less ??........what's your point ?
