Thank you. You are indeed a gentleman.

Well, if a jackass can haul Jesus it should be fitting that Mr. retbee be given credit for being a descendent of Jesus' ride.

Allow me please, I am trying to understand your point of view. Are you saying that anyone to whom you disagree it is correct or right to be insulting? And are you saying that you and those who share you opinion are the only ones that recognize the problems of our nation?
Again, I am confused because solutions to issues rarely comes from one individual living in a vacuum shouting their own opinion and having that opinion echoed back. Solutions come from groups of individuals contributing their individual talents, intellect, and thoughts. We would not have this nation if we did not have founding fathers. Our founding fathers often had discussions and disagreements, but in the end the result is a nation that endures. Notice that this is plural.
Anger, abuse, and hostility garners the same and never generates solutions or even a road map one can follow to ensure a better future.

Ginnyt - I just believe that there needs to be some sort of order in a nation. And the first should be a national language. In this case, it should be English. It would be an advantage for everyone. Why should we have to pay for things to be printed in other languages? It would be much more cost effective for the foreigners to learn English. I'm not against group discussions. Isn't that what this is all about? Each person voicing their opinion? That's what I've seen so far in these forums. Isn't your statement your opinion. I'm unsure where you are coming from.

In the case of the U.S. our national language is English. It was voted on a long time ago and won out over German by one vote. Paul Harvy talked about it years ago and I don't believe things have changed since.
He also read a constitution that was actually better then ours and believe it or not, it came from the USSR. It just depends on who is reading what into it, like our SCOTUS. They can read things that were never in there, but they make rulings on it anyway.
The problems are not totally the R's or D's, it is US. We are the ones that should be holding this government to the constitution, but we don't, so it is our fault that these things are going on in our country. If we would bother to read and learn our own constitution, we would not be in the condition we are in now, but most people simply will not take the time. They have to many important things to do, like watch Football.
We started a government with very limited power, but do we make them abide by it, no. What we do is vote for the one that will give us the most money. Sure we have a government that is out of control, we made them that way.

If you are confused, imagine how I feel. I have NO idea of what you are referencing. Had you used the quote reply button, I would be better able to address your concerns. As it is, I would have to go back through the comments I have made from the time I entered into discussion on this forum to ferret out your problem with whatever I said to cause you concern.
A country can not exist without borders, language and culture. Here in Portland Maine the emergency walk in clinic notes that it will supply a translator for any non English speaking patient. 63 different launages listed. Political correctness and multiculturalism are symptoms of the real problem of liberals wanting citizen ignorance and apathy. The "multies" would assimilate in a rush if they had to learn English to survive. Liberals need dependents to vote for continued handouts because with the left it is all about the elitists
controlling the power over everyone. Congress will make 20 million illegals citizens democrat voters with free healthcare. WAKE UP! as with Rome ... the hoards have busted down the gates ... stop funding liberal emotional social engineering and defend our borders!!
For the record, we started a government with The Articles of Confederation, and we found that these did not give the federal government sufficient power. There were insufficient ways of enforcing the Articles. That is why our Constitution was adopted.

What I've been saying all along. The huge question now is, "What can we, as private citizens, do about it that will have a positive effect? A trip to the ballot box is a step in the right direction, but there's too many uninformed voters who's only reason for casting their vote is for the one who gives Federal (read our tax money) to their town to fund some infrastructure.[

Trolling for what? Your part of the country (wherever that is) is a major part of the reason our beloved country is going to the dogs in a handbasket.
Why bash dogs? The only dog I ever saw in a basket was Toto in the Wizard of Oz. Your point of view was common in the 19th century. Google "Know-Nothing Party". It, ironically, was a pretty apt description for those folks.
