Will take some time to get use to but I think in the end with small tweaks it will be fine. I have no security programs that have alerted me there is a problem.
This looks weird...I feel queasy...
I believe it's the spacing that makes it look weird, also font sizes aren't helping.

What spacing? I'm not sure what you mean.
I am trying to figure out exactly what I don't like about the new look. I am trying to get it down to one thing and I believe I have it, Or I think I do. The poster's name is as microscopic as the person you are answering and quoting. It is a distraction.
On some threads it comes up tiny on an android phone. You have to 'finger' it to see it. Otherwise, it seems to work pretty well so far.

BAM! That could be it!
Can you guys bold type the poster's name or make it more prominent in some other way?

Can you PM me a screenshot of it happening?

I'll see about adding it as a custom view setting.

Upon going to the my topics list I
used to be able to see at a glance which active ones at the top of the list have had new replies. Now I have to waste my time looking at each one individually.
Bad Change I liked seeing the complete responses even though the longer ones may take a little more scrolling to get through. With the "read more" method of shortening the longer ones I have to do more time clicking and don't know what length of material I am going to be in for. I do not like having to click to a new page to see it.
Bad Change I can't imagine how anyone in your company thought these to be good ideas
This is not going to be a matter of liking it once you get over the annoying effect of having to deal with changes.
These changes are a bad ideas -- VERY BAD. I sure knew the others would agree with me and that you would be flooded with complaints. Please put it back like it was, These Are Not Improvements.. And why make it necessary to click 2 times in 2 different locations to get to our bookmark list? And
how about putting that same little marker (=>) on the articles bookmarked to return us to the last page we were on like you do on the main list ? Not doing so is a
Bad idea. Your reply on all this would be appreciated. Let us know if you will consider going along with, what you can see is popular opinion, and put things back like they were with the addition of enabling items in the bookmark to take us back to the last page we were on, or where we last posted.
You do it for us on the main list, why not on the bookmark list? Thank you.
PS --- Hardly anyone seems to be telling you what is a negative "improvement". I have been here. Also unless it is a change on my computer I like the bigger print. But the avatar seems smaller which I don't care for.

I'll add an option to list only "my topics" on the Watched Topics page. Combined with "unread only" filter it would show you your topics which have new replies.
Using My Topics for this purpose isn't really effective.

That's subjective. And it could as easily be described as "takes a lot of scrolling to get through" and it would still be an accurate description of what was going on.
I might be able to add a custom view setting for this, to allow users to specify if they want to see complete quotes. But I'm not sure yet. I would need to check the implementation to see if it can be done without too much additional coding.

My Profile/Custom View Settings. Add whatever links you need (like Bookmarks) to the top menu.

I'll think about it. But I want to fix the initial bugs first, before adding new features.

Your 5000 character limit for a reply (which I don't think should exist)
is counting every character in the persons post I am replying to. Consequently I got about 3 sentences out & it would Not print anymore & then when I tried to send it, a notice came up telling me I had to reduce it to 5000 characters. (But I had only written three sentences, but what I was replying to was rather long) --- I think that's 5000 character limit is unwarranted. It's only once in a while when someone needs to give a very long and informative reply that they should be allowed to do so. I would rather keep that ability although occasionally it may take a ridiculous amount of scrolling. Please realize I have a lap top and at the scrollwork my finger and I'm telling you that. It's much easier for most people because they use a mouse. Recently I've posted 504 items of Obama's corruption to someone who's article said if we didn't think Obama was a good president we should "Think Again". I believe it is nonsense needed to be slaughtered with the full impact of the truth, although long it may have been. Although probably know what read it all in its entirety, the impact was made & the truth got put out there. It should not have been limited & was still less than a whole page. It's a real rarity for anything to be that long.
It is usually some articles that are very long & if you shorten the articles with a "read more" in the reply if there more than a couple paragraphs that will relieve 95% of what you consider to be a problem. I presume it is the repeated long length of the first titled post that is repeated so many times in every reply to it, that you find to be the real problem.

Other than your posting here I have been noticing that the pages are not listed on the top, but only on the bottom. They need to be on the top too so we know right away how many pages there are and can go to one of the higher pages if we wish to, without having to scroll down to the bottom.
Pages are listed at the top and at the bottom.

It's even worse when you are using an iPad or a smart phone. This is a Political Site, Right? Where else can one express their views and not have to worry about being Political Correct. PC is for those that are sensitive to the truth and need to be sheltered - like all those traumatized University students.
Not just an Android phone but also on a 17" laptop with Windows 10.
