Seriously, this is an excellent example of a very common occurrence on this website. Someone posts a link that is supportive of Obama, or Hillary Clinton, or Sanders, or of a liberal position, like the Affordable Care Act, and the response is to loudly (often in all caps) shout that the poster is a gay communist muslim atheist drunk meth addict (sometimes only three or four of these at a time).

Is this what passes for political debate in the US today? Really?

The only way this makes any sense to me is that at some level, the critics realize the weakness of their position and have to resort to schoolyard insults because that's all they've got.

Anigav, tis true his ratings have increased slightly, but you do not paint the whole picture. What you failed to mention is that his approval index has slightly increased, it is still at a dismal -8 up from -14. So yes it is rising, but it's still in the cellar. The index represents those that strongly disapprove of a presidents performance.
