Partly true. But MMA fighters are specialists who train 6 hours a day. Seals just don't have that king of training.

In a brawl between a mixed martial artist and a Navy Seal, who would you bet on? Seals are tough, and they don't know the meaning of the word quit, but MMA fighters are specialized and can really dish out some serious damage. I think it might be a toss up, but I'd put my money on the MMA dude. What do you think?

The Seal would win hands down, they also practice MMA but they also kill people, they're absolutely ruthless. Believe me friend you don't want to mess with one. You probably should mess with MMA guy either, good way to get you ass tore up.

I disagree. MMA fighters train in the same types of martial arts that seals are trained in. Not the same style, but they are just as capable as a Seal. They have the same skill level and mental toughness. I know what it takes to become a professional MMA fighter. The physical conditioning and mindset required is something that few people have. Just because MMA fighters do not use their skills to disable and kill does not mean they are not able to. And they train those skills for several hours a day. Make no mistake. They are deadly. And they have the same determination and refusal to quit as any Seal. In fact, few Seals would have the mental toughness and determination to rise to the top ranks of the MMA. Keep in mind that todays MMA fighters start training around the age of ten. By the time they are in their twenties, they are already accomplished martial artists. They spend their lives training against opponents, identifying their weaknesses and correcting them. Their training is superior to any Seal. That's a fact.

Thats just plain BS Mr. Bombastic. Navy Seals are trained to kill your ass in as little time as possible which usually is much time at all. MMA guys are trained to fight in rounds like a boxer. Won't be any rest time with a Navy Seal. I was a U. S. Marine, believe what I say, an MMA guy doesn't want to mess with a Navy Seal, the SOBs are immune to pain, absolutely immune.

BTW, I've seen what a MMA fighter can do to a side of beef with a single kick. It's scary. It broke several ribs and the force of that kick would have ruptured internal organs had they been present. Seals are tough, but no one can stand up to that kind of punishment.

you must have missed the 5 Rocky movies or were there more?

Bruce Lee is considered to be one of the best martial artists who ever lived. One thing most people don't know is that he was summoned to China to defend his right to teach his style of martial arts in America. He went up against their best fighters in full contact fights. No holds barred. These guys were killers. He beat them. This was no boxing match. It was mortal combat. No boxing gloves. No rules. MMA fighters go through similar training. To say that they are merely athletes is doing them a grave insult. MMA fighters start training as early as the age of ten years old. They dedicate their lives to one thing. Becoming the best fighters they can be. There are also people like Frank Dux. A mere martial artist, according to you. He won the Kumite, going up against the best fighters in the world. He went on to defend that title several times. I saw a video where Dux put his fist through bullet proof glass, among some other amazing feats. I'd like to see a Seal do that.

That shows how tough you are Slats! You survived with only a slight stutter, intermittent nightmares, and a strong sense of situational awareness!

As long as you are not exposed to that menacing stare again, you should make a full recovery.

The twitch can be attributed to the milder looks from the Sgt. Major.
I have the same tic myself.
