Welcome!

It is imposable to be truly non-partisan.

It is just that you let your self be free to chose the issues you wish to support. Thus becoming partisan to that issue.

In any event you chose to support the issues based mostly on how you view the issues.

It is mostly just the words you chose to use.

If you wish to have "Independent" as a Topic go to to the top of the page & click " Create New Topic.

However, Should one not choose to favor a topic, or to favor a topic is an individual choice. To be non partisan means that a decision was made on the topic without bias . And, my friends, that is non-partisan. I think that is the idea that the creator was making.

Agreed, in any discussion, Floyd's statement has validity.

Welcome aboard!! I have learned to avoid putting labels to comments or posters. As you have already discovered, they are rather like lightning rods, even if you perceive that you have described something neutral in nature. As long as you give well thought out responses, there are many who will respect what you have to say and will respond in kind. Enjoy the ride!!

Or Don't,,, like Floyd said,, it is just your words mostly anyway,,, But don't be afraid, just get your Dukes up and jump in there!!

I never have a day without a bias or an opinion,,, but somedays,,,, I walk away from OPP without a bloody nose, somedays,,, not so good.

Good of bad you can repeat any thing I may say.

It is best if we can respond to others with respect to their views.

Little by little we can reduce the bad vibes.

Wrong! Being non partisan means not supporting a party. Supporting an idea, regardless of which party came up with it, does not require supporting that party in any way. I see some good ideas from all the parties but I get to pick and choose those ideas. I don't give a damn what party it is. I know it is hard for some people to understand that it does not take a party to champion something good, it takes people. If more people in Gov. supported ideas over party politics, we'd see more sense in legislation.

Partisan can mean more that supporting a party.

It can refer to faction, cause or person.

I used it in a general way more like a cause.

We are trying to reach across party lines with this.
