Groups from both the extreme left and the extreme right have come together to oppose a Convention of States. Usually they're fiercely opposed to each other, but in this case they have one thing in common: they like the status quo in Washington, D.C.
Click the video below to listen to Mark Levin and Mark Meckler discuss how these groups have fear-mongered their way into state legislatures across the country.

There is a follow up video after this one. Levin goes into one of his rages and starts screaming at the end of this video and through the next so turn your volume down.

There are significant changes required in our government, most notably term limits for Congressmen and Federal Judges including the Supremes. These changes will never be effected by the sitting Congress no matter what flavor it is. To correct the abuses, which have come to be customary, a convention of states (Article 5 convention) is needed to install new amendments. Hopefully this convention will address the necessary proof of eligibility to be President as well as eliminating automatic citizenship for children born to those who are in the country illegally.

The danger lies in WHO will attend the convention. If the "politicians" take control, they will be loathe to limit their own power. The CC is to address problems that the "people" have with the government, but the government will by the ones with the power at the convention. Has the Congress EVER voted themselves a pay cut??

The voice of 'Reason'. I've supported the convention of states most definitely when it looked like hilLiar was going to get in office. Now that Trumps in it might be even MORE PERFECT.

The way is by Ratifying Amendments. This is done by getting 38 of the 50 States, or 75% or 3/4ths of them to pass an Amendment. The last one was the 27th. It says no Congressman may receive he salary raise until re-elected'

I hear it's { caffine} good for us. Hope I'm right!

Nope. You're screwed!

The Mayo Clinic states that consuming more than 500-600 mg of caffeine a day may lead to:

Insomnia
Nervousness
Restlessness
Irritability
Upset stomach
Fast heartbeat
Muscle tremors.

However, previous research has linked even moderate amounts of caffeine to negative health effects."

Then there's the withdrawals if you ever run out of coffee, it can be pretty nasty and includes symptoms such as:

Headache
Fatigue
Drowsiness
Depression
Irritability (again!)
Concentration difficulties
Nausea
Vomiting

As if all that wasn't bad enough, caffeine is also a psychoactive drug. "When we consume caffeine, we are consuming a psychoactive substance that can cause or exacerbate some health problems". Yikes!

So, uh, anyone want another cup of coffee?

I agree with Mark Levin. There must be constitutional limits on Federal Judges. These judges contained in the Constitution must focus on the constitutional framework. But they become politicians, mostly tilted to the left. Once they become like that, they violate their sworn of oath in office. They must be removed. But I think better to limit their tenure also.

SC Justice Ginsberg is already in her twilight years. She must retire. She still continues to engage in politics and vilify the Republicans instead of focusing on her legal duties.

Congressmen and Senators, must have term limits. All those beyond twelve years must end their term. Those whose terms are beyond that forget their duties, and become focused on their power, and greed of money. They lost their ethics.

Anchor babies are being abused. Millions of Mexican women crawl under, or just come illegally to lay their eggs. Then their babies become citizens. Then they make so many babies in the US. The more babies they have, the more welfare money is provided to them. These women claim discriminations when required to leave because they don't want to separate from their babies.

Likewise, Chinese women do the same in San Francisco. There is a clinic in San Francisco, run by Chinese, specializing in delivering Chinese anchor babies. Tens of thousands have been delivered there for many years. Chinese make very lucrative business for processing anchor babies. The Chinese women lay their eggs in San Francisco, and claim citizenship for their babies. Then they cannot separate from their babies and so they stay in the US for the rests of their lives.

There is no "automatic citizenship for children born to those in this country illegally." It is a convenient fiction that flies in the face of at least 2 SCOTUS decisions.
The First was Elk v Wilkins 1884, in which the court ruled that John Elk, an Indian, was NOT a citizen because he was born to parents who were not citizens.

The second was US v Wong Kim Ark 1898 in which SCOTUS ruled that Wong Kim Ark WAS a citizen, because while his parents were not citizens, they were domiciled here with the intention of becoming citizens. In other words, they were permanent LEGAL residents.

The author of the first section of the 14th Amendment, Senator Jacob Howard of Michigan, stated that it's purpose was solely to guarantee full citizenship rights to slaves and their progeny. That it was not intended to apply to children born to non-citizens here illegally. Also, the 5th section of the Amendment provides for a legislative solution, a Constitutional Amendment is not necessary. Just a Congress with balls.

LOKI,

Have you ever known a Congress that has had balls in the last seventy years? That is why we need to need to call a Convention of States. I am personally working like hell to make it happen. The onething I love about it and if it ever happens, there is nothing Congress, POTUS and SCOTUS can do about it to keep it from happening. It comes from the heart of the People and States.

An Article 5 convention IS NOT A CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION. How many freaking times do we have to repeat that? Article V is in the constitution, it specifies two procedures for proposing or repealing amendments. One procedure is for the US Congress, the other is for the state legislatures. The way the Convention of States works is the state legislatures choose delegates to represent the state--these delegates may or may not be elected state officials. In any case, none of the delegates will be chosen from among members of the US Congress. In other words, the idea here is to return the power to the states and once again limit the power of the federal government. Thist is called Federalism. The way it was supposed to be. There is no way that any politician of group of politicians can take control of an Article V convention. Doesn't work that way. It is simply a procedure for amending the constitution.

To propose an amendment, 2/3rds of both houses of the US congress OR 2/3rds of the state legislatures must deem it necessary. If an amendment/s is proposed through either process, the amendment/s must be ratified by 3/4ths of the state legislatures.

It would really be beneficial to all Americans who want to see our country governed as our founders intended to study the Constitution--including the DOI and a reading of the Federalist Papers. IOW, understand what the hell you are talking about.

That's exactly what many are working on now Blade.
To Ratify a 28th Amendment.
11 States already ratified it.
Now we need 28 more to comprise 3/4th of the 50 States.
These guys in TX have been working on this for 9 years now.
Yeah, it's taking time. " Rome wasn't built in a day" as they say

Ironic that the same body, the US Congress (who passed what proved to be the 22nd Amendment limiting the Executive Branch's chief Officer, the President, to 2 full terms) has never passed a measure to the States to Ratify the Constitution to limit Congress' terms!!!

I don't see the irony. Would you expect them to pass a measure limiting themselves?
