Maybe Starbucks and Bank of America gave her substandard money and that's why she lost the election. Now I get it!

I get it: hope! Every complaint, frustration, wish, dream, desire, ideal, memories, loss, outrage, injustice, hurt, rejection, and so on is packaged in "Make America great again." A lot is invested in those words. That message is the promise and opportunity to undo wrongs, balance the scales, bring safety, return values, honor the forgotten, heal wounds, restore prominence, be appreciated, find happiness, grant greater liberty, and the list is endless. You put it all on Trump, wagered your soul, in effect, that he could make it all better. And I admit there is a lot wrong in this country that is unjustly hurting innocent middle-class Americans. And Congress needs to be fixed. But remember that our severe discontent and worry came as the result of failed policies and regulations by Bush. Republicans were responsible for the crash in 2008 that almost ended America. What happened back then? De-regulation of Wall Street and Banking. The Democrats put in safeguards under Obama so that fiasco would not happen again. What did Trump do? He wrote an Executive Order undermining those safeguards.

Think, question, look deeply--always, no matter what side of the aisle is talking. The same for the president. He promised to "drain the swamp" and is filling it with fiercer reptiles and expanding its borders, making it a protected sanctuary of greed and corruption. WAKE UP! All those things of your heart and soul you were desperate to see manifest through Trump are not going to take place; the opposite is true. OPEN YOUR EYES!
I get it: hope! Every complaint, frustration, wish... (show quote)

Two issues. Unlike Obama who always said "I" Trump says "we." Huuuuuge difference. We're going to make America great again after 8 destructive, traitorous, cowardly, incompetent years suffering under a third rate community organizer.

Next issue: Bush didn't cause the economic disaster, Democrats did inasmuch as they controlled the Congress. More specifically Barney (The Rump Ranger) Frank and Chris Dodd, having oversight over Fannie and Frankie, allowed the already overextended Federal housing loans programs to continue to loan money to tens of thousands of people with poor credit and insufficient income to make their house payments. When they started defaulting on those loans the domino effect began cascading and, bless the Democrats little heart, the banks and everyone else going down the drain were saved by the American Taxpayer, and as far as I know not one democrat son of a bitch went to jail.

CDO's { Collateralized Debt Obligations } -- CDS's { Credit Default Swaps ( AIG)}

Housing bubble bust of 2008
After selling all the dwelling to those who couldn't afford them, the Bankers bundled up a bunch of crap
consisting of 1, Credit Card Debt, 2. Student Loan Debt and 3. Mortgage Debt
Put a red ribbon on the package and sold them to the banks in Europe and " great investments " when in
effect it was a bunch of crap!
Well, everything went to hell in a hand basket. Mortgage defaults, students who couldn't repay their loans etc,
and it ' exploded '. In comes AIG with the ' insurance package called CDS's shown above.
The insurance sold to the bankers who bought the CDO's just in case something ' screwed up' , which it did!

Now comes the TARP payments from us good old taxpayers.
The bankers gave themselves bonus's to pay off their yachts and homes in Martha's Vineyard.
The bankers came out smelling like roses.

Literally $trillions, all in brand new crisp and shiny $100 bills. That new cash sat in bank vaults across the world for the last several years and now it's finding its way into the stock markets and it's 'party time'! This latest 'bull market' has nothing to do with market fundamentals improving and everything to do with huge amounts of new money bidding up prices. Prices are rising because there's more money chasing the same investments. It's all rooted in currency inflation and it will, eventually, end in tears for those not smart enough to see that.

The real payoff for the bankers comes when they pull their investments off the market and take huge profits while the rest of the world stands with its collective mouth open and wonders what just happened - again.

This is the problem, okie: you guys see no difference between saying I make no sense and showing I make no sense. Do you see how showing I make no sense may make a difference in a debate forum to proving your point? Of course you guys appear to think that insult is a "sound argument," and apparently, the only argument. No facts. No support. No opinion on the subject, only personal assaults on the author. Very childish.

Never said anything like that. I have said on numerous occasions that Obama's drone war should have him up on war crimes. And I have other problems with his policies. Bush was, as I see it, a decent man that got manipulated by the beast, Cheney, a truly despicable person. Trump bad? Yes, very much so, in oh so many ways. But I do understand how people mistakenly trust and believe in him. They see him as the monkey wrench in business as usual in Washington. He attempts to assuage their fears by silly magic tricks like The Wall and Muslim Ban. They worship his unhinged rants and policy by Twitter as a man who cannot be controlled by the powers that be. The unpredictability is invigorating and seems honest. To most, he seems to speak his mind without fear or consequence, which appears bold and daring compared to the somber utterances (usually lies) they are used to. A true man of the ordinary people so sick and fed up with politics as usual. But he cares about three things and three things only: his image, his fortune, himself

Remember the Commandment about False Witness? If you are wrong in your personal summation of the only three things Trump cares about then you just broke that commandment. Now the thing that concerns me is that scripture says we can't break just one commandment. When we break one we break all of them. Doesn't seem fair to me either but then I don't get to make the rules.

Then dreams, memories, ideals, are the attributes of the conservatives, that's why Trump was elected. But, that's the pop music being played now, we shall see, if Trump fulfills the promises and makes America Great Again.

Look, you can't keep blaming the last eight years on Bush. The helm was handed over to a man that promised he would transform America, by any means, I might add. He continued the transformation until the Progressives lost, which they haven't been able to recover from the defeat. All the progressive ILK will continue to subvert, and cause harm to this nation (America) because they can't come to gripes, they lost.

I might also add your name "Dross" depicts exactly where you are in your life. FOI > Dictionary > dross, noun, something regarded as worthless; rubbish. The name follows you and is true to form...
Frustration, complaints, loss, outrage, injustice, ... (show quote)

If you read my post, what you define or describe as a conservative--"Then dreams, memories, ideals, are the attributes of the conservatives"--copies exactly what I said.

"if Trump fulfills the promises and makes America Great Again": America was and is great. There is no "again"! Such a thought suggests that our system of government is somehow flawed. He will correct our Constitution to cater to and assuage the fears caused by certain social changes and a changing plurality. That he will annul American ideals, such as welcoming immigrants in this country of immigrants and violating the 1st Amendment on religious freedom, to suit a frightened and privileged few.

"Look, you can't keep blaming the last eight years on Bush." I never have done that. Obama inherited an enormous mess, near catastrophic. That is simple fact. America was inches from total ruin. Look it up. You break a leg and can't walk right for a few months after. Even after the cast is off, there is pain: what do you blame it on? The weather? Our system was nearly totally broken by what happened in 2008. There was no quick fix. Add a deliberate obstructionist Republican movement and it is now a miracle America did not become a Third World Nation. I know you will disagree and I am not arguing those facts about the situation we faced.

On a number of occasions I have explained not only why I picked "Dross" but why I picked "Dr. Dross": it is just as you described, "something regarded as worthless; rubbish." But with a doctorate in that regard. What I once was until I came upon a cause: disarming blind servants of bad policies.

Not him specifically but his administration, misled by numerous bad advisors, especially Cheney. If you want to say that the nearly totally ruinous financial crisis of 2008 had nothing to do with Bush, well-known historical facts and irrefutable evidence contradict you. The damage to this republic was enormous and deep. Nothing that could be healed in a day or years. What was the Republican response? You can find it in books and numerous public statements: make sure Obama fails and has no second term. Our country is going down the tubes and fellow Americans, Republicans in Congress, only care about hurting Obama. It is verifiable, on the record. No "fake news."

No, I don't. Doing so is your job. Why no critique on specifics? Because you cannot. If you could, you would do so. Your lack of doing so indicts you as a troll. Just here to disrupt.

You are so thoroughly misinformed it is amazing. I have already commented on this but a refresher seems necessary.

It was Clinton that loosened the loan criteria to allow poorer households to buy homes. "Tens of thousands of people with poor credit and insufficient income to make their house payments" was an opportunity for Banks and Wall Street to even further lower those standards and then package them in the tens of thousands as good collateral and investments, while they were known to be almost worthless by Banks. The result was, of course, the crash. Millions of home owners were illegally foreclosed on in an effort to recoup the Banks felonious practices. The housing market crashed, bringing down all the major banks.
