Fear not Padre, that's pretty much how it works anyway.

No, my stint in the army taught me a great deal about consequences of my stupid thoughtless actions. It took a long time to suppress my rashness, though, I was never one to suffer fools in any manner. At one time I had the nickname among my coworkers as ready-fire-aim Pete. I have to admit they were right.
Sorry to rain on the parade here but our military is just as infected as our society is. We have Crips and Bloods and MS13 in the military already. The education level of the enlisted and Officer ranks has steadily been declining since our politicians have been mandating that women do certain jobs, blacks do certain jobs, etc....It looks exactly like any other government program today. The upper brass is completely politic rather than military. The only remaining war fighters, and the ones worthy of our reflexive respect, is SOCOM. They, at least, retain the primary skills and integrity we erroneously ascribe to the entire armed forces. Having attended several fallen hero ceremonies, on the FOB, I can tell you there are two very different cultures that are each alive and well in our military. There are the war fighters, who continue to psh on in a professional manner, and there are the rest. The rest are just as deserving of our contempt for the same reasons our decaying society is. I know this is a radical observation, but one that should be made. Without going into the details, I will say I have extensive and recent 'operational experience' to support my opinion.

Doesn't sound like something the bleeding heart liberal snowflakes would go for.
Hmmmm, sounds like a DAMN good idea.!
What is the criteria for the POTUS to call for a mandatory draft ?
That alone may shut Hollywood up for a day.
Yes, and it should start when they are entering 9th grade.

And to this end we can blame Obama. He should be stood before the wall naked, not even a blindfold, and dispatched.

Just two questions: 1) Have you ever served in our armed forces? 2) Why do you think the admission blacks and women into the armed forces have lessened the "... primary skills and integrity ..." of the armed forces?
The first person to die in our Revolution was named, Crispus Attucks. He was a free black who had led a group of men to later hurled sticks and snowballs at the British troops in Boston, on March 3, 1775. He was the first to fall in "The Boston Massacre."
Blacks have fought for the country since the Revolutionary War. Blacks helped man guns on our warships and blacks fought along side of our ground soldiers for just as long.
Organized regiments of blacks have fought and died in our armed forces starting with the Civil War. Look-up the brave actions of the USCT regiments that fought during the Battle of Nashville, in November-December, 1864. How about the actions of the USCTs during the Battle of the Crater, during the Siege of Petersburg, in July-August, 1864.
Ask the IsraelĂes how brave their women are in combat. Ask them if their skills and integrity are diminished by the inclusion of women.
Countries with compulsory military service for women:
Cuba
Israel
Norway
North Korea
Tunisia
Eritrea
Sweden *Bill introduced; has yet to pass or be signed into law. Sweden was set to implement female conscription in 2010 in lieu of sexism challenges and had drafted a law to be passed mandating female conscription, but instead opted to do away with male conscription (which tecnically can still call on males in cases of emergencies.
Note: Tunisia and Eritrea are Muslim countries. I find it odd that a Muslim country would allow/force their women to serve alongside their men in the trenches.
Is that a gun in your bikini or are you just glad to see me!!??

A Muslim country looks at women as possessions such as cattle, or human shields.

I'll take two or three. Can they do yard work and do they do Windows? The wife could use some help and I'm a great armchair supervisor.

Perhaps, you failed to read my entire post. Here's a sentence from the last paragraph: "Tunisia and Eritrea are Muslim countries."
Their women fight in their armed forces. How's that being treated like "... cattle ... " or "... human shields." How many "... cattle, or human shields," do you know that carry weapons?

If one of them has, "... a gun in [her] bikini ... ," if I were you, I'd run the other way. What she "shoots" you with might not be lead, but far more "creamy" in substance.
Then again, maybe that's your kind of "girl." Whatever cranks your tractor, I suppose.

If they are Muslim, they adhere to Sharia. You rationalize it to your heart's content.
