"Thermate"? Naw, couldn't have been thermate. Thermate is a pyrotechnic composition that can generate short bursts of very high temperatures focused on a small area for a short period of time. It is used primarily in incendiary grenades.

If thermate was used in the 9/11 trutherized scenario where charges were installed on every floor, the amount necessary to do the job would have been enormous. The installers would have had to remove a hell of a lot of dry wall, elevator shaft walls, air duct walls and electrical shaft walls just to gain access to the core columns. Moreover, because TH3 burns so fast, the failure rate of the charges to cut completely through the core columns would have been quite high. In any case, if thermate charges were going off in the building, before, during or after the collapse, they would have started fires at every point they discharged.. Not a feasible scenario.

Let's get this out of the way first: The so-called whistleblower and FORMER employee of NIST, Peter Ketchem WAS NOT INVOLVED in the 9/11 investigation. He's just another disgruntled numbers cruncher with a bone to pick. Little guy just needed some attention so he joined the trutherized conspiracy.

Here's what really happened:

Bush and Cheney conspired with Rumsfeld to work up a plan to destroy the WTC, hit the Pentagon, and the WH or Capitol building so they could justify going after Saddam Hussein. Rumsfeld contacted a top Mossad agent and they worked out a plan to smuggle two Israeli tactical nukes into the US. (Israeli nukes are untraceable so the Bush/Cheney cabal would have plausible deniability). They chose nukes because, in 1993, when Ramzi Yousef tried to bring down WTC 1 with a conventional explosive, it failed to do so. To complete the plan, Rumsfeld contracted a movie special effects company to develop a mobile laser holograph system.

On September 11, 2001 (They picked the date because of its significance in the history of Islam), two operatives hired by Rumsfeld drove utitlity vans, each loaded with an active Israel nuke, into the underground parking garages of WTC 1 & 2. The two operatives activated the cell phones set up to receive the detonation codes, then they hauled ass out of the basements. Meanwhile, 3 specially engineered vehicles, each containing a sophiscated holographic generator, moved into postitions where they would each have a line of sight on the towers and the Pentagon. One was located with a clear view of the north face of WTC 1, one was located with a clear view of the south face of WTC 2, and one was located across the street from the Pentagon. They had a fouth FX crew somewhere near the WH and Capitol building, but this crew had a major malfunction.

At 8:46am, the special effects crew north ot WTC 1 generated a holographic image of a Boeing 767 and flew it into the north face of WTC 1, centered on the 96th floor. At 9:03am, the special effects crew south of WTC 2 did the same, centering the hologram on the 81st floor. And, at 9:37am, the special effects crew near the Pentagon cranked out a hologram of a Boeing 757 and flew it into the Pentagon. Rumsfeld was pissed that the fourth special effects crew screwed the pooch in Pennsylvania.

There was one thing that the FX crews never counted on--why the holograms were so freaking hot they blew big holes in the buildings and started massive fires.

Then, at 9:59am, Rumsfeld's operative phoned the nuke in the WTC 2 garage and it blew the foundation all to hell and the tower came down. At 10:28am, the other killer phoned the nuke in WTC 1 and BOOM, that tower came down.

It was a fairly efficient job. Using thermate or high explosives on every floor on the towers was far too difficult a project, it would have cost too much and taken to long to set up. Besides, they couldn't have possibly accomplished such a project without raising some eyebrows.

Now, about that WTC 7 thing. That was a tough one for the Bush/Cheney cabal, but Rumsfeld solved the problem. He contacted the CEO of ConEd. Seems ConEd was having some problems with their sub station under WTC 7, it was obsolete and was losing money. They worked out a plan to blow it up after the twin towers came down, and they used enough explosives so that the whole building would fall, like a controlled demolition. Worked pretty good, don't you think?

Rumsfeld made out like a bandit, he got away with one hell of a chunk of money.

"In early 1997, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory successfully tested a shaped charge that penetrated 3.4 meters of high-strength armor steel. The largest diameter precision shaped charge ever built produced a jet of molybdenum that traveled several meters through the air before making its way through successive blocks of steel (Figure 1). A shaped charge, by design, focuses all of its energy on a single line, making it very accurate and controllable. When size is added to that accuracy, the effect can be dramatic. The success of this demonstration at the Nevada Test Site's Big Explosives Experimental Facility would not have been possible without the combination of reliable hydrodynamic codes and diagnostic tools that verify one another.
A shaped charge is a concave metal hemisphere or cone (known as a liner) backed by a high explosive, all in a steel or aluminum casing. When the high explosive is detonated, the metal liner is compressed and squeezed forward, forming a jet whose tip may travel as fast as 10 kilometers per second. Shaped charges were first developed after World War I to penetrate tanks and other armored equipment. Their most extensive use today is in the oil and gas industry where they open up the rock around drilled wells."

LLNL is a government laboratory. The successful test in 1997 gave plenty of time to use this technology to take down the Towers.
