Aloha All,

I'm an old cranky (some say crusty as well) Staff Sergeant retired. Three years in Iraq.

I've been ticked off with how government has betrayed the Veterans as well as the American People.

However, I found a new third party which restores the voice of the people and promotes local communities governing themselves.

There is more to it than that, but The Modern Whig Party was started by Veterans so we know that they are pro-active duty and Veterans.

check out www.modernwhig.org and check the party out. It is the fastest growing political party right now and the only way to cleanse Washington DC is to vote them out and vote in fresh blood.

Welcome. You'll find a lot of Vets here, most of us older and crankier than you, because we've had more time to practice.

You won't do it with a third party. A third party only means guaranteed Democrat wins. I am a Tea Party Patriot, but I don't want it to become a third party, instead I want it to reform, and take over the Republican Party. Contrary to what many lefties (aka democrats) think and say on this forum, many don't have a clue what the NEW radical Democrats (who are in control) stand for, and what they have planned for this country. The Scoop Jackson type democrat (who was a big supporter of the military, and a conservative Democrat) are extinct. The radical left is running the country now.

Welcome to the forum, from another cranky old retired Naval Officer.

Thank You and I love your avatar, while down range the troops in the unit were supposed to pick a cartoon character that their NCOs best represented...and that's right that picked Ol' Sam for me and paint shopped two coffee cups over the guns.

As for cranky, my parents (both Marines from the 40s-60s) raised me to be cranky, so you may have more experience but I can cranky with the best of them. :D

I respectfully disagree, a third party just needs enough people in the cause to step away from the two parties. Third parties have not been able to do that, but I believe that it may not be 2016 however if this continues 2020 will be a different story.

The people just need to become active and join the cause to bring down the established practices.

I also respectfully disagree with the extinction of the conservative democrat, moderate, liberal republican theory. I believe they are all in hibernation waiting for someone to take a stand. Once the people are able to crack the armor of the extremes, the majorities (those closer to the middle and not forced to follow their party platforms) will re-emerge.

To HawaiiWhig67: checked out the new Whig website and read through a few things. Seems your Whig party is for amnesty of some sort. Guess you didn't hear how they just cut retired/disabled pensions for vets and at the same time left in a tax-loophole for illegals to scam 4.2 billion dollars a year from we tax-payers. ANY kind of compromise that allows illegals to become citizens is amnesty. These demanding, disrespectful illegals have proved by their very presence on our soil that they have NO respect for our laws OR our citizens. I also am a veteran. We fought to keep our country safe and our citizens safe. Why then, should we give it away because criminals demand it? Why should we give it away because the politicians want more votes and cheap-labor for their corporate-masters? This is OUR COUNTRY!

I've avoided the VA for three years (I retired in 2009), but if active duty DRs don't believe you, what makes a trooper think the VA would?

I've been bustin my B**** trying to find a job, but nothing for a year and a half. So, went to college and the VA's delays almost led me to being homeless. It finally came so I'm a little better than I was at Thanksgiving. My old unit and BDE CSM gave me food and fuel to keep going to class.

While I was dealing with the aggravation called the VA, I did some research and found a lot of programs that take care of Veterans, but very few ever use. SO, when I get this silly slice of paper I'm starting a company for Vets, manned by Vets, and screw everyone else that aren't Vets.

I will become the VAs worst nightmare because they will continuously receive calls and I will not let up until the Vets are taken care of.

Did you read the blistering email I sent to 18 Senators on that? I also wrote three about their lack of initiative in helping the homeless Veterans.

This is the strength of the Modern Whig Party; it promotes you the individual coming up with a plan on how to deal with an issue. You the citizen bring up the solution and debate it with others in order to come up with a plan that works for everyone, then you lead that project to make it happen. My focus is on Active Duty, Veteran affairs and I do not give an inch with those politicians.

Topics like immigration (or deal with it) would be by state. That way Texas and Arizona could build those walls and the Federal government would stay out of their business.

Still, I'm afraid that immigration can't be solved (unless of course jobs in Mexico become better than the U.S; which is also unacceptable). You have just as many liberal states along the border as you have conservative. Regardless of who controls the government, one policy won't work.

Another weakness is that by saying that anyone born in the country is a citizen promotes illegals to have children in the U.S. once a woman has a child in the U.S. they parents are allowed to stay because the child is a U.S. citizen.

I see a bigger problem than liberal politicians making socialist laws and conservatives betraying their morals for thirty silver pieces.

It is people who have issues and don't act. We can sit back and waste time complaining or we can gather together, make a plan, and fix the problems.

You can't do it in a party with rigid platforms. You can't do it without the numbers.

Republicans WON'T win an election while the majority population has converted to socialist liberals.

Democrats don't see a problem

It must come from a third party that is able to bring the common sense moderates together to fix the issue.

"Fastest growing" is easy, when a 20,000% increase is 200 people.

Welcome. I look forward to their representative, here, explaining their platform. I don't need to read it. I'll just observe its party member.
