Are you asking if I believe in God, well, yes. Am I a holy roller in your face guy, no. I have had a personal moment of clarity while dying in the hospital for the third time. American medical skills brought me back for a third time, and that's when t happened. I apologize. Christians (and I am all religions, yet none of them) have become the brunt of so much ridicule in the last decades that I had to ask you.

Anyway, the point is, and it holds even if you're an atheist, it is One World, One God, One Dream. And if there is to be a tenable future for the human species, Americans must become involved in the rest of the world.

That some Americans are lambasting Assad and Putin for their laudable efforts in Syria is an abomination. Before God.

"Self pity"? I never got that from Peter's reply, but what I get from yours is that you are self-righteous and judgemental. In the eyes of God, that is definitely a no-no. I have no clue why you are so enamored of a murdering KGB thug. You have alluded to some sort of relationship with Putin, even claiming that you requested him to assist Assad in Syria. Without any positive verification, i find that hard to believe. And your pronouncement that you are all religions yet none of them is moronic to say the least.

There are some things Scripture quotes Jesus as saying that I have never agreed with. One is "Turn the other cheek"---even as a child I could see problems with that. I would not be anyone's doormat.

Another one is, and this is the one you're referring to, I'm sure: "Judge not, that ye not be judged." Only God can judge a soul, and thus only God can truly forgive, but I can, and will, judge the behavior and actions of another, and I expect my children to do the same. Jesus also said: "By their fruits you shall know them." Unless my children can judge the actions of another, they may very well hang out with drug addicts, or worse.

In addition, I, since childhood, have never agreed with the Doctrine of Original Sin. As a little girl, I could not understand how a perfect loving God could create an imperfect soul. If you have read some of my other posts, I have explained the allegory of the Garden of Eden.

And by the way, how do you know Putin is a murdering KGB thug? That's being a little judgmental, if you ask me, and without any recourse to facts. I know Vladimir Putin; he is a friend of mine.
