Very true, the guardsmen were as much victims as the students that day.
Those young men were thrust into a situation which they had No training for, No clear mission, No rules of engagement,
and no competent leadership, the result was confusion, panic and chaos among the guardsmen.

Things you can do today that couldn't be done in 1970
Reverse the Constitution because of ONE whiner and one man's (or woman's) opinion (when it is handed down from behind a judges bench)
Stomp on and mutilate the American flag!
Walk down the street wearing your military uniform and NOT get dogshit thrown on you!

I didn't say a word about.justifying anything. I said if you shoot over someone's head, in 100 yds. the bullet is still climbing.
If you had said they kids were on a hill I would have understood and had no comment.
I can't be up to speed on every news event and still work 60× hours per week.
My mistake for even being concerned about kids being shot and wanting to know what happened. Next time I'll ignore it.
