Of course! They take in 100 trainees and fire (or get to quit) all but 15 whom then then train, as inspired by Force Recon (Semper Fi!) to take out scum like Bin Laden - whom they used as just another meat sack for fish food!
Now out of ALL the squids, what % do you think are SEALS? Maybe .00001?
But EVERY Marine is a qualified rifleman!
That's one of many reasons why I am proud to claim the title of United States Marine!

but Marines are only disappointed would be Sailors who failed the Navy's entrance exam and had to settle for second best
and if as you say that the Seals are only 1% of the Navy--wouldn't that make them the elite of the elite???

May God bless all Navy Seals ., I had the honer of being trained by and with SEALS ,, best men I've met outside USMC , but I'm a marine First God bless !!!!!!!!!!!!! Same goal ,, Freedom !
