Do you really know anything at all about the life of LBJ, Nickolai? Apparently, not. When he was in the House and later the US Senate he was a New Dealer and one of the biggest LIBDEMS around. To him, there wasn't anything FDR did that was wrong. To call him a "conservative" just b/c he was born and raised in a former Confederate state shows how little you really know about the man...and does a disservice to us CONREPS.

Almost forgot. Welcome aboard, TDell. I wore the blue suit for 21 yrs and thank God, my tour in SEA was in Thailand. There, we called 'em "slopes" and not "gooks," which as I recall, was the GI term for N Koreans and Chinese during the Korean War. However, I'm not disputing it was used in SVN, as well.

You will discover there are many more vets on this board.

Vietnam we called them Gooks , and in Korea they were chinks. Is what we always said and was handed down to us

A lot of my Vet friends married Vietnamese women and Korean women. They are my friends wives now. They have been nice to me. Though I do have a friend who calls his wife the Viet Cong when she gets after him. Poor woman she has her hands full with that guy.

bobby... I believe you were a draft dodger , men were sent over there to help save South Vietnam ,he is not saying he is proud of our Americans that died there and that war is one of many we sent our men and woman too. Thank You for your service VET.
