In my career of design engineering of military defense weapons since I was 22, I have have had Top Secret, Secret and Confidential clearances and so have my co-workers. Recently I was also personally responsible for the electronic transmission of files (drawing packages) to foreign countries that design and drafting work was being outsourced to per strict ITAR regulations. To everyone who hasn't, let me enlighten them:
Anyone (including Hillary) who has had a security clearance knows what is acceptable or not in their personal background to GET that clearance, we know that our livelihood DEPENDS on getting and keeping that clearance and we also know the consequences, personal and/or legal, if we mishandle sensitive or classified material, even if it WAS "a mistake" and we don't make mistakes because we fully understand what IS classified. The DoD takes it seriously (or at least they used to, I guess) and applicants/holders do too (except Hillary).
I have had to end a long friendship and even a serious love relationship because I knew what THEY were doing could jeopardize my clearance or prevent me from possibly getting one again in the future.
I worked with a guy (who was a paraplegic) who had to fight to get a Secret clearance for a job promotion because he got arrested for "trespassing on federal property" - he didn't know that the beach where he got caught body surfing (naked, crawling to his wheelchair) was part of NAS Point Mugu...I think the embarrassment and humor in it worked for him because he eventually got the clearance and job promotion...but he had to make an appeal and fight for it. So this guy almost doesn't get his clearance and a job because he was crawling naked on a beach, yet Hillary has a private email server for YEARS, compromises sensitive, confidential and classified information pertaining to our national security and not only gets a "pass" for doing it but gets to apply for the TOP job in our country by saying "it was a mistake"...and that's acceptable somehow to the FBI, DOJ and democrats?!?!
To all the democrats who don't think it's a big deal and are going to vote for her anyway, know this: I do not know ANY democrat co-workers that I've worked with over the past 40 years that will vote for Hillary because frankly, we think our Secretary of State and President should be held to the SAME, if not HIGHER standards as we were to get our clearances and keep our jobs. We take our Nation's national security seriously (unlike Hillary did) because we're Americans first before ANY political party.
