I have never been to Austin. I have been to Houston once. That was enough to cure me of any desire to go back. The only thing I like about Houston is seeing it in my rear view.

No offense, but Mexican is not a race. Nor are all Mexicans "wetbacks." People who are in this country illegally are, at the very least, misdemeanents, and if they have been here any length of time illegally, they have probably committed multiple felonies under US Law. Trying to legitimize an illegal alien by calling them an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a dope dealer an "undocumented pharmicist." Illegals are about 6% of our population, yet make up a little over 15% of the prison population. You don't go to Federal prison for unpaid traffic tickets.

I spent 2 years, 7 months and 10 days in a Southern CA prison. I became a certified adult tutor in prison. The only friend I made was black and the only fight I got in was because I was too chummy with him and the white boys didn't like it. I...prevailed, and was left alone after that. After 13 years he and I are still friends. My brother-in-law is a legal immigrant from Mexico and he's one of my best friends. I have some skin in this game!

I did two college papers on the prison system in CA after I got out and I can tell you...illegal immigration is a bad thing. I saw who was coming here from Mexico and what they were coming here to do. I lived it. I've seen the mayhem. Legal immigration is cool...illegal immigration is NOT cool.

There are plenty of healthy disagreements here, which is why I enjoy this site. But we all know that sometimes it degenerates to the gutter. I will never forget the whole topic claiming to prove Israel was behind 9/11. So ridiculous I didn't even bother denouncing it.

That is among the reasons I think Trump's chances are underestimated.

Others include the fact that people that work for a living are less likely to waste time taking a poll than some slug sitting on the couch waiting for his EBT card to charge.
