For a change, you may try voting for the one who believes in the real America, NOT the joke we currently live with. That would be Trump. Hillary Clinton has never done a single thing that involved management, budgeting, etc. And she has never learned to accept responsibility for the things she has done that went badly wrong. She is a pathological liar and not worth standing for, let alone saluting. The woman is a MESS.

I don't trust 'The Donald' either! He is so full of it! Maybe a third candidate? Tennessee Tuxedo! He will not fail!

Trump lost the debate when he indicated he thought it was smart of himself not to pay any taxes.
That statement coming from a billionaire will cost him the election.

True and I hope you are correct

I think everyone would be smart to not pay taxes.......it is money thrown away, not used for honest purposes, wasted by reckless administration spending. Robbing people in order to destroy their country SHOULD BE ILLEGAL, AND IT CERTAINLY IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. But then, the left has never been fond of every American being free of government bondage. One day even the left will tire of governmental FORCE. No government can exist without the use of FORCE. Why? Because that force hurts every citizen and usually accomplishes NOTHING. If I steal from YOU, I go to prison. But you think it is OK for government to steal any amount it wants?

Trump did not claim that he would do away with income taxes.
Trump sees himself as more privileged than the rest of us.
You and I and most Americans will continue to owe taxes on our incomes.

If Trump would promise to do away with income taxes altogether, then he might survive his stupid remark.

I think this is hilarious too! Trump supporters claim Trump won and Clinton supporters claim she won - but those people were going to vote for their peep no matter what anyway. The talking heads are mixed ( as well as mixed up ), saying Trump won this point, Clinton that point, blah, blah, blah.

The handful of people who haven't made up their minds on who to vote for yet, are the people these debates are for - and they couldn't give a rats ass who "won", who you think "won", or anyone else's opinion about who "won". Enough crowing already! There are no "winners" of these debates, nor "losers", the debates are just another platform for the same shit we hear in other speeches.

The "winner" won't be determined until late on Nov. 8th.

If Trump has a problem, it is that he is far too honest and straightforward to talk with people who cannot relate. I assume you would be more comfortable had he lied. I understood completely what he was saying, and NO person vying for the Presidency will talk about eliminating income taxes because he would LOSE. However, I think ALL OF US SHOULD HAVE THE INTELLIGENCE AND THE GUTS TO CHALLENGE THE IRS........it is the government FORCE that is responsible for many of today's problems. None of us have Trump's experience. None of us can totally relate. ONE thing that is MOST IMPORTANT is that we DO KNOW HILLARY'S EXPERIENCES AND CRIMES AND DO NOT WANT HER LEADING THIS COUNTRY DOWN HER PATH TO HELL. We have enough problems without adding Hillary Clinton to our list of problems.

I'd have to agree w/ that. I don't think the first debate changed anyone's mind. Will the second or third? Dunno. Anyone's guess would be as good as mine. I thought #1 could change the trend in the election; not at all sure about that right now. In fact, I have mulled over the proposition in my mind that this might well be the first presidential contest in which the debates won't matter one iota. They say there are X-number of undecided out there and that's who the candidates should be trying to reach. IMO I think most of the electorate has made up its mind; if you like the status quo vote Clinton; if you want things shook up, vote Trump. To me, its that simple!

Cool-if one is to judge the winner/loser based on political correctness, Hillary won. This is obviously a new venue for Trump and he ,at times, looked like a school boy being lectured by his teacher. His facial expressions showing his disdain were clearly evident. He has much to learn about competing in politics and what the masses have grown accustomed to. He would, without a doubt, be a much better president that Hillary could ever hope to be. She is not a leader, and her stints as Sen and Sec. of State produced nothing beneficial to the USA. Yes, she traveled a lot but as Fiorina pointed out, that is an activity and not an accomplishment. Hillary wants open borders and feels ours is secure enough as is. She also wants to bring in hundreds of thousands of refugees to further drain our resources. She wants to raise taxes on the wealthy (that includes corporations -job creators) and increase the capital gains tax (that will kill the economy). She has never ever created a single job and thinks the government should be the job creator. She studied her script well and won the debate on points but she would be a terrible president. We must judge her not by what she says but what she has done in the past. That record is abysmal and she has blood on her hands. Hillary should not be entrusted with the security of this Country. Trump is no wheres near the ideal candidate but he is our best hope of anything changing in DC. Good Luck America !!!

Well stated, though I found very little wrong with Trump's performance. He ISN'T a politician. The only thing highly "educated" politicians know how to do is "TALK" and/or "LIE".

True, and to be honest I don't think either one of them really did anything to help themselves last night.
Both came off as narcissists.

It's a rare politician running for office who is NOT a narcissist. But I don't think Trump is as much a narcissist as he is a person who isn't afraid of speaking his mind, being forthright. I think he sees nothing wrong with saying it like it is, whereas most politicians find a way to sugarcoat disasters and all bad news. Frankly I appreciate Trump's appearing a bit naive.....it makes him different from the run of the mill lawyer politician.

Why would promising to eliminate income taxes cause a candidate to lose?
If all of us should have the intelligence and guts to challenge the IRS,
why shouldn't Trump have the intelligence and guts to do away with the IRS?

What do you think about all the photos of Trump with his hands on Ivanka's butt?

payne1000-taking a major step like eliminating or reducing the size of the IRS is something a person does once he/she is elected. Such a step means putting thousands of people out of work and that has to be factored into the equation. I agree that a simple tax code is really what we need and the Cruz idea probably resonated with a lot of people. However, this will have to be done piecemeal and the IRS will have to be reduced through attrition rather than outright firings. To move people to other agencies is not the answer if we are trying to reduce the size of government. We must reduce the overall size of government but it will take time to get it done. Hillary's tax plan is a non-starter which will not go anywhere in Congress. Good Luck America !!!
