Well, they are chipping pets. We may be next.

About ten years ago I was at a small mall in Indianapolis, a drug store there had a free chipping service for children going on!
It was appalling to me but many sucked it up!

Newer versions of chips probably have many features, maybe even an off switch!

Wouldn't bother me much. I can hunt, and make my own clothes from animal hides. Besides. I need to lose weight anyway.

DITTO!. I will never be chipped. There is no reason that they couldn't have made it something you can wear, or something like a debit card. This chip is nothing but an attempt to control us. Any who think differently are idiots.

There is a great and hilarious movie from the late '60s called the "Presidents Analyst" with James Coburn. That's where I first learned about them" chipping" people. If you don't know the movie, you should definitely watch it.

yeah, not built like that anymore... But, do you remember how much gas those good ole cars used.... at 11 cents a gallon. I had a 49 Ford V-8 that got about 9
MPG.... I have now a 47 Chevy Fleetmaster with a straight six that gets 10 MPG on a good day. It has 39 K original miles and original black laquer paint. Because of the MPG I only drive it enough to keep it lubed and charged, etc.

Maybe you'll get lucky and discover oil on your property?

I have no luck... In fact, if bought a duck it would drown. I only bought it for investment. It was appraised at $30 to $40 K and just gets more value ever day... About twice what I paid for it 5 years ago.... I have a 7 year old CD that has earned about .002%.... Back then you could buy about 5 gallons of gas for one hour of minimum wage pay. Today, you can only get about 3 gallons for one hour of minimum wage Obama dollars.

Indeed. Ever hear of something called the burrito index? If you really want to know what the rate of inflation is, just check what a burrito cost during any period of time, then compare that to what it costs now. That is the true indication of inflation. The burrito never lies.

My first car - a wedding present from my folks - was a 1950 Dodge Meadowbrook, 4 door sedan, in-line 6 cyl. with 96,000 miles and a fresh valve job, , "slush clutch" (fluid drive - forerunner of the automatic), Gypsy Green Iridescent (metallic). We called it "Sherm" because it steered like a Sherman Tank. But it got 22 mpg on the road at 60 mph when gas was $0.329/gal. My wife weighed 105 lbs. soaking wet and had a hell of a time parallel parking with no power steering, so I sold it to a couple Seminary students. Must have been the right choice - had our 50th anniversary in July!

That is STILL on my list of all time favorite movies. If I am feeling a little down it will make me smile and laugh even though there is much truth in its concepts.
