I fully understand how you feel, I suppose it comes down to what do we want to keep and what do we want to change and vote by which party come closer to what you identify with. If you believe in public education, and possibly to the higher levels, so that all who whish to further their education are not held back by not having the funding. The more educated we become the stronger we are and competitive with the rest of the world. As it is now we are slipping through the fingers of world competition.

Or if we want to maintain equal rights for all, not matter race religion, or gender.

To keep social security as is. To not be barrowed against or conned into putting it in the stock market

To keep all of our public works and not in the hands of high cost privatization.

If we want the hand of an unbalanced, emotional narcissist on the trigger of nuclear weapon.

If we want enforce environmental protections, to enforce full disclosure's on what companies are doing with their waste, or what chemicals are being used to frack.

To have laws of transparency on what chemicals are used on or in our food.

These are some of the differences on choosing who to vote for.

His promise to inflict torture on alleged terrorists is also at odds with the Fifth Amendment, which protects suspects from being forced to incriminate themselves, as well as the Eighth Amendment, which forbids "cruel and unusual punishments." The United States has signed an international treaty banning torture, and the Constitution states that "all treaties" are "the supreme law of the land."

Trump exhibits a comprehensive contempt for the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of religion and the press. Trump wants to set up a national database of Muslims and endorsed Ted Cruz's idea of police patrols of Muslim neighborhoods — either of which would violate religious rights by singling out one faith for special burdens.

He also wants to curtail the freedom of the press, an institution he reviles. "We're going to open up those libel laws," Trump vows, "so that when The New York Times writes a hit piece which is a total disgrace or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money." He hopes to use the threat of financial ruin to deter news organizations from candidly assessing him.

The chief protection against this sinister ambition is the Supreme Court, which says the First Amendment protects those who resort "to exaggeration, to vilification ... and even to false statement." Libel actions may not be used by public figures to suppress criticism, even if it's inaccurate. Trump's problem, of course, is not criticism that is factually inaccurate but criticism that is factually true.

Trump wants to foil "anchor babies" by repealing birthright citizenship, which is granted by the 14th Amendment. It says, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States."

To focus on specific provisions of the Constitution that offend Trump, however, gives him too much credit. He knows as much about the Constitution as he does about taxidermy. The real problem is his disdain for the notion that it should hinder him from doing whatever he wants.

Some conservatives think they can count on him to place conservatives on the court because he has provided a list of possible nominees that they find acceptable. Why they think he would be any more steadfast on that promise than any other is a mystery. In the end, he would do whatever suits his whim.

The Republican nominee regards the Constitution the way he regards the Bible — as a revered document to invoke when convenient, not one to follow. Conservatives might consider that it would be less threatened by a court made up partly of Clinton appointees than by a presidency occupied entirely by Trump.

It wasn’t the only time the Republican front-runner for president would liken his personal life to wartime service: Trump has claimed that his military-themed boarding school education was essentially equivalent to having being trained in the military.

When Trump had his chance to join the military and fight in Vietnam, he did not take it. Instead, the rich kid got multiple student deferments from the draft and a medical deferment. Meanwhile, men like John McCain were being tortured as prisoners of war, but Trump has said that is dishonorable.

My friends, I say this because I feel further explanation is due from me about Donald Trumps' comments on the Howard Stern Show nearly 20 years ago. In the field especially, but also on the hospital ship U.S.S. Sanctuary in 1968, I saw kids my age whose bodies were ripped apart by gunfire from rifles or automatic weapons, artillery rounds, mortar rounds and booby traps from the enemy in Viet Nam. My lesser wounds allowed me times to walk through the wards visiting those who were left without arms, legs, genitalia and various body parts...to include their facial structure and features. Many had also lost all sense of who they were before incurring such wounds...from psychological and emotional damage. I had a kid younger than I die in the bed next to me. He died, basically, of a broken heart. He had received a 'Dear John' letter from his fiancee' from back home. That letter destroyed his will to live. This, after he had struggled mightily to achieve a certain degree of recovery...enough to have sent him on to Japan for better treatment and surgery necessary to guarantee survival.

For Trump, in any way, to compare the 'dangers' of dating from STDs, etc. to the experiences of young men who sacrificed their lives and body parts in combat service to their country in Viet Nam or any war was/is abominable to me. When I first became aware of his comments, I was livid with anger. This many years later, I am reminded of the callousness and obvious disregard for the feelings of friends or families who lost loved ones in that or any war shown by Mr. Trump. Whether one chooses to call his tone "mocking," "sarcastic," or just down-right thoughtless, I cannot forgive him. Neither could I tolerate his belittling of John McCain's service or the associated belittling of all POWs for 'getting captured.' I won't listen to anybody who tells me he didn't belittle all of them with his all-encompassing remarks. I watched and heard his own words with my own two ears. I personally know two living POWs and knew a survivor of the Bataan death march of American POWs in WWII. The last died a number of years ago, but the two others survived tortuous treatment by their captors and remain with us today. By surviving, they each were able to return and have families that, no doubt, help each forget the months and years of their imprisonment.

Trump's statements exceeded stupid, especially since he was playing to an audience and being recorded, both for radio and TV...and, for posterity. He was also around the age of fifty at the time...an age most would have shown some maturity and empathy for those who did not have his good fortune in escaping service before, during and after college, but instead served their nation. Again, the families and friends who either didn't return from that horrific war, or, returned physically and/or psychologically maimed did/do not need to be hearing of Mr. Trump's bravery and courage in the dating game being equated to other's service to country.
