It is you who are playing the word game, for riot has nothing to to do with dialogue, as protest is dialogue that is refused to be heard, and forced to be recognized through visual means. Riot is nothing but destruction and looting (theft), and has no dialogue involved, only actions of destruction for revenge and retribution, and for the professional looters personal gain. Whether you like it or not, or whether Martin Luther King made a purposeful error in definition to promote his own cause and agenda, that is the truth that any reasonable and sane person would know and agree, despite this propaganda that you prefer to promote, which will only cause even more rioting by giving it credence and righteousness as dialogue, which it has nothing to do with. Your promotion of this propaganda will cause even more rioting through what people will now think is a noble cause and thing to do, because of your error of definition. It is amazing how some people that believe themselves so smart, can actually be so stupid, and spread propaganda and misuse of word definitions, that will cause even more harm and sorrow for the lower classes of people, who will buy into the false notion that rioting is a noble path to dialogue. Rioting hurts only the poor and middleclass, and you give them a false reason to harm themselves. By the way, your example of a riot without looting was nothing but a peaceful protest, of which the police attacked and falsely claimed it was a riot to ligitimize their illegal physical violence and attack on the protesters, at which point the black and a few white protesters started fighting back. The protesters were never rioting, but only peacefully protesting, until the police attacked them. This is also quite obvious for anyone with half a brain to see and understand, and a very poor, incredulous, and ingenuously false example of a riot without looting. It was only a peaceful protest that the police forcibly caused the protesters to use physical force to defend themselves. There was no destruction or physical violence until the peaceful protesters were attacked by the police, and it was an offensive attack, not a defense of anything other than the hate of black protesters.

Do you agree with this statement since your admiration of MLK is unparalleled? Consider This!

While the stores being burned are mostly national chain stores like Walgreen's, McDonald's, Auto Zone, Dollar Store, local car dealerships, and so on, they are locally owned branches or franchises in most cases. There are also some independent small businesses being torched, like Ferguson Market and Liquor. These are the places that the black residents of Ferguson shop, eat, and hopefully work at as well. At least one local businesss that was looted was clearly owned by a black couple.

And yet these local shops have promptly gone up in roaring anger and flames tonight, and probably will for nights to come.

Why do these stores attract such anger and direct action?

Yes, I know that it is probably only a few hundred mostly young black men who are making their way from store to store to pillage and burn, while 20,000 other black residents if Ferguson are protesting peacefully, or are at home, not destroying local stores. They may be at home, but trust me, there's real satisfaction being felt across the entire community at this hitting back that's going on. It's widely seen as something well deserved and a long time in coming.

'If this is what it takes to get some help for our community, to get some attention and some justice for what goes on around here, then so be it.'

So why loot stores. Why burn them to the ground?

You'd have to grow up a young black male in a place like Ferguson to grasp why these stores are the immediate, prime targets for looting and flames. There are 365 days in every year, and on every day of every year of your life you've had to walk past these cathedrals of consumer culture and see things you don't have and can't get because you have no money, no real education, and very little hope of ever being employed.

Or you grew up seeing your mother, father, sisters or brother slaving away behind the counter in one of these stores for minimum wage or less, part time workers so no health benefits could be earned, and bringing home a pittance for their family to subsist on. Maybe you've been behind the counter at Mickey D's yourself, and it did wonders for your self esteem because you did that instead of going to school, you did that to bring home a few dollars for food and rent. Dead end jobs for dead end, unwanted lives. In the land of the free.

You grew up tagging along with your mother or aunt to shop in these stores using food stamps, coupons, buying only things on sale, and putting up with the stares of the people around you who have real jobs, and can afford to shop without government assistance. And when you go alone into one of these stores, you are immediately followed to see if you're going to steal anything. If you linger or look around at all, pretty soon some bastard of a white cop will show up to take you outside and check out who you are and what you're doing in the store, boy. http://m.dailykos.com/story/2014/11/25/1347311/--Why-do-they-burn-down-their-own-neighborhood. My girls grew up watching me slave over a bunch of indigents in a public clinic, but I doubt they'd think of burning down.

How quaint! You asked for an example of a riot without looting. I gave you one. The police rioted! I know that hurts your delicate butter soft logic but tough shit. You just confirmed it by your own comments. There is no such thing as Professional Looters except in your deceived mind.

Your a damn fool, and you have just proven that to everyone on this site that reads your BS. Police "RIOT"? Police don't riot, they attack and persecute. You are so liberal with "YOUR" definitions that you show everyone what a fool you are. I knew you couldn't show even one riot without looting, so you say the police attacking peacesful protestwers is a riot without looting, what a reach, and proof that you don't know what you are talking about. I stand by everything that I have said, and thank you for your insane replies that only prove my points. Buy yourself a dictionary, and try using it, if you are even capabale of doing that.

Me grow up? Why don't you and your buddy grow up and be a little more honest, trying to imply a video of an unprovoked police attack on peaceful protesters is a riot without looting, how incongruous and uningenuous can anyone get. I hate stupidity, but not as much as I hate dishonesty, which is what your buddy is involved in when trying to take a phrase from MLK
misdefining a riot as the language of the unheard to promote his racial justice agenda, and because nobody supposedly did not attempt to correct MLK, your idiot buddy passes it on as the true and real definition of a riot, which is actually a very good definition of a protest. Why don't you both learn the English language, for that would be a huge step in both of you growing up.
